When did you hit peak SJW and why? - Get off the woke train and see through the bullshit that is identity politics!

When I realised that gay men were historically among the most sexist men.

I probably was around 15 or so when I was at peak pinko in my personal politics. When I was young I started to read some high-level shit that my young brain interpreted as an oligarchical society keeping oppressed; I read the Communist Manifesto, went into Renaissance-era literature like Machiavelli's Prince, and at the time it had the effect of convincing me that a centralized economy could work and that communists weren't bloodthirsty pieces of shit.

The older I got, however, the more critically I began to think of events in the world around me; this was around the same time I started to realize I was more attracted to men, and noticed that the media wanted to parade around this image of metrosexual, skipping, effeminate faggots in horrifying pride parades. I read Atlas Shrugged and it was a huge stepping stone towards the anarcho-capitalist I am today. I have very little sympathy for those who cannot progress past the critical thinking it requires to realise that socialist/communist bullshit never works because at the end of the day it relies on some people being selfless, all-caring individuals--the problem is that when you elevate people to a position of power, they can rarely retain those ideals, and committee-think cannot solve all your problems for you. You start making millions of hats for an already-hat-wearing populace and don't build enough cars for everyone to have basic transport. Even the Nazis were guilty of socialist bullshit disguised as blind nationalism.

TL;DR I can't talk to other gay guys in most social forums because inevitably politics come up, and I ain't black, because I didn't vote for Uncle Joe.

Extremely liberal in college, but once I got slapped in the face by the reality of working a real job I looked back and realized a lot of my ideology was based on me subconsciously looking for excuses to put away my own iniquities

When I felt like a drunk, I tried to excuse drunkenness. When I felt like a stoner, I tried to excuse getting stoned. When I felt penniless, I tried to excuse putting in the effort to get a job. Looking back, I was wishing for the rules of life to change instead of realizing there was a natural framework built around putting in the effort to achieve something

So with religion removed by modern "society", something has to fill that emptiness, be it consumerism, identity politics, or atheism as a religion. It's like nature abhorring a vacuum.
This was my biggest fear and I knew this was eventually going to happen. The nu-atheists of the time thought we were going to be religion free becasue God was being removed from society. But, you don't need a god or even believe in the supernatural to be religious. Ultimately, all religion is to its core is dogma. People will natually follow some rules on reality, and people picked up on progressiveness as their new dogma.

I think I’ve never been taken in by SJW ism. I grew up on stuff like ‘the young ones’ and the age of british satire that mercilessly mocked right and left, and the woke and the establishment. I consider myself old school left and my upbringing was during a political time (unions, pit village, miners strike, universal healthcare, dignity of man, work hard and look after your own) so the accusations of Nazism just don’t fly, because I KNOW my beliefs are pretty centrist, sometimes a little left, other times a little right. I think looking back my upbringing was pretty based in many ways. I’m glad I grew up with no social media.

I naively believed in equality, yet for all the supposed improvement in race relations my white friends always seemed to get the shaft.

Plus I've read Dostoevsky. He nailed the SJW mindset decades before Russia became communist and showed it as abhorrent.

Finally, as an "extremist" Catholic I can't take the false gospel of secular humanism seriously.

When I was really into the punk rock and hardcore scene. There would be dumb shit like bake sales for Mumia/Food Not Bombs, workshops about being a better ally regarding race, feminism or transgenderism (this happened when a female only festival got in trouble for not letting a tranny in) and scaring people into thinking the world was full of racists and nazis that were out to get you. Once I got out of the scene, I wasn't obsessed with politics ruling my life or being a part of the music I listened to.

When i got a job, but the moment i just gave up on having simpathy for the "oppressed" was that time the tranny wanted to be paraplegic for attention.
Wait, what?

It started with the internet getting mad at a white girl for wearing a fucking dress, and my artist friend being told (by other white people) that she’s not allowed to draw a picture of her Samoan friend because… I guess white people are only allowed to draw white people now? By the time choice feminism came along with refusing to criticize industries that actively harm women and girls because chooooooiiiiiiice!, and men who get boners when they wear their sisters’ underwear started being treated like a protected class, I was done. It’s the same bullshit as on the right, just in a different package.

and despite what people tell you, there is no such thing as "right side of history"; there's always two sides to a story
Anything that tells you there is, is most likely agitprop bullshit
It’s like a doomsday cult “one day, the great history reckoning will happen, and you’ll be sorry then!”

1) Their very clear "rules for thee; not for me" mentality.
2) The fact that they never seem to be happy, no matter what you do.
3) They very often attack their own more fiercely than they attack their actual "enemies" because they crave that knee bending and groveling.
4) The blatant gaslighting.
5) The fact that 90% of their arguments are ad-hominem and personal attacks.
6) The fact that they think there's a "right way" for black people to behave and that those that don't "should know better."
7) The fact that you can't even have a conversation with them. Again, if you are 95% on their side, you might as well carve a swatiska on your forehead.
8] They love to call people anti-science or anti-climate change, or anri-whatever; then when you present actual facts that disagree with them they say that "facts are rooted in white supremacy."
9) That because of "the narrative", everything they believe is the default "common sense" "equality" behavior and the only reason to oppose them is because you're a bigot.
10) The entire foundation of their beliefs about "racial equality" is that black people are stupid and helpless. Like half of the laws they propose or oppose are "racist" because minorities can't follow basic instructions.
11) The fact that they are trying to teach children to hate themselves for being born white.
12) The fact that they are trying to pump children full of hormone blockers that they can't consent to, and yet somehow opposing this is akin to "conversion therapy."
I mean don't forget the tough guy/gal persona they put online and act like they're the Billy badasses of the world. Meanwhile if they deal with a more normal cow here who has shit opinions like your boomer uncle who has a Trump sticker on his truck. They automatically freak out and bitch online and say how America is a horrible white surpremacist place even if the guy with a maga sticker on his truck is married to a black woman and adopted brown kids. To them they have this strawman of Nazis they have to fight against because irl they know deep down the antifa larping shit is a cope.

In the end they want to be both simultaneously oppressed yet oppressing people at the same time. They will never understand that they're the establishment they've overthrown white Christan america.

The irony is they talk about how they're going to fight and defeat fascism but they don't understand is if they keep knocking on the devil's proverbial door long enough they will get a legitimate fascist and the masses everyone from us to the most normie tier people will cheer for it.

Started noticing them during the Bush II years when I was in school. Started really hating them around 2011 or so when I noticed how much they'd infiltrated games and comics.
