There exists a lot of aspersions cast on "rightoids" in the thread thus far, and I think its because no-one really articulates the implicit position of right wingers regarding troons, child grooming, etc. Simply put, hard line right wingers were already at peak trans b/c they've been appealing to teleology with respect to LGBTQ stuff since forever.

I'll attempt to summarize the perspective here:

The aprioristic assumptions of consent based morality, individualism, and the implicit assumption that sexuality between individuals has no bearing on society teleologically leave the door open to troons. There existed no baseline philosophical assumption within the premises given for the fudge packer normalization campaigns that would preclude the creation of something like the DIY HRT directory, and a more astute observer will see this undercurrent carried through anti-fascist, liberal, and "queer" theory throughout the 20th century. From magnus hirschfeld, John Money, the west german adoption stuff, NAMBLA and its tentacles in the gay rights movement, no-one who took opposition to this stuff seriously ever was under any illusions as to where it was going to end. To the "rightoid" seeing others catch up to one aspect b/c it finally affects them is simultaneously pitiful and humorous, and now that troons form a near hegemonic force in society, he fundamentally wonders how things could've changed for the better had people listened to him at any point prior.

I now realize many if not most people can't handle real freedom; people want an ideology to tell them right from wrong and what to do. People also love distractions. Liberalism as a check on conservatism, or, the left as a check on the right, at least in the USA, seems to work to some degree. Freedom actually makes sense in the context of there being some restriction to subvert or sneak around. Too much proscription and too rigid a society has its own problems, of course. You still need enough flexibility to adapt to changing times and people need to actually enjoy life. Then again, sneaking around rules that seem to only exist to make people do what they're going to do anyway privately aren't really so bad, are they?

When conservatives follow liberals, they tend to first give ignored warnings, then slowly try to pump the brakes, then finally snap and force things back into some sense of sanity. Feels like we're approaching the "backlash and silent majority and so on" stage, no?

Rules and expectations need to exist, and seem to come out of thin air if they don't. The question is do you have ones that actually work and keep civilization and society going and give life meaning, or do you let people manufacture copium because they fear the void they created with their own anomie?

This is the realization I came to that made me really turn away from Libertarianism (and to a lesser extent, Atheism). As much as it would be nice to let people do as they like so long as they aren't causing harm, there are just too many people who are too stupid to take care of themselves and develop the morals that benefit society without a government or religion telling them how to be a functional human.

I think the reason Japan has less troons has less to do with conservatism and more the way their culture discourages individualism. This is the realization I came to that made me really turn away from Libertarianism (and to a lesser extent, Atheism). One point I didn't even realize I made until you posted this, that I don't want to get lost in the conversation here, is just how needed rules and purposes are. In a vacuum, they are created; indeed, in the ennui and nihilism of end-stage liberalism, we've all seen the creation of 'wokeness', which absolutely has rules and purposes. The issue is that those rules and purposes are retarded.

There's no avoiding it. Ethics, beliefs, religion, in some sense or another, will appear out of the fucking ether if humans are involved, period.

On the other hand, the notion of as much permissiveness as can be allowed (and for whom we should allow permissiveness!) shouldn't fall by the wayside. I'm not advocating for hivecity giga-Confucianism where people are reduced into drones. There are enough faggots doing that anyway. We do need to have things that need to be kept in private and discouraged; we need to encourage the right behaviors and mindsets.

We also need to have shared purposes that bring everyone joy - and a positive, constructive value system that elevates people instead of bringing some down to elevate another in relative terms.

The fact that such language would be seen as "fascist" or "proto fascist" or "nazi" or whateverthefuck instead of a reaction to pomo bullshit is frankly hilarious, but here we are. How the fuck is saying "hey instead of assigning blame to one group and giving another a pass to be demonic pedophiles, how about we have a shared purpose and build people up and maybe avoid original sin as a function of skintone?" politically dangerous anyway? For me it started with Tumblr somewhere between 2012-2014. I have always been very accepting of trannies, because I grew up knowing a teenage guy who later as an adult trooned out. And in my mind it just made sense. He always acted very feminin and his reaction to things was just alot more womanly than manly. But he also never brought attention to it, it just seemed like the most natural thing to do. Then I met the Tumblr trannies and I just knew they were faking it. They had to put too much effort in. They had to force people to accept them for whatever crazy gender they chose. Around 2016 a friend of mine got bullied out of her favorite gay bar cause she refused to fuck a tranny and that's when i realized the Tumblr freaks were leaking into real life and it wasn't gonna get any better.

Of course, that sort of society also has its own issues. Because when there is a structural problem, it either takes forever to be fixed, or is never fixed at all. These societies heavily discourage rocking the boat, but you have to rock the boat to get rid of things like corruption and cronyism, and the upper rungs of highly conservative East Asian societies are, believe it or not, even more rife with corruption than ours.

Unfortunately, a nuanced system of government requires active effort to maintain, and it's very easy for it to topple in either direction because people who want power at any cost push hard for both extremes. As a relatively young nation, we were meant to get it right, but the pressures from both sides were stronger than our institutions.

My personal experience is different to many here. I am a very faithful person and I came to Jesus when I was 16. Yaddah yaddah, you don’t want to hear me blab. During the time I was converting to Christianity as a teenager working at Walmart, there was this ftm tranny that I was friends with. I was naive and honestly didn’t realize she was a troon until she cut her tits off. Big eye opener. Well I didn’t want to keep being around her so I started to only participate in small talk and I never went out of my way to approach her. One day I start wearing a cross and reading my bible in the break room. she comes in for her break and sees me reading, asks what it is, and when I tell her, she starts YELLING, as in full on raising her voice screaming that I’m an evil awful person. Then she starts crying and fucks off.

At that point I knew that trannies were more than just harmless spergs, but rather dangerous narcissists with trauma.

My second experience was working at target when I was 18. I had to deal with a MTF tranny, this guy was balding, skinny, and tall, a true caricature. He was immediately hostile to me since I would wear lots of Jesus paraphernalia. Now I was and still am a big guy (built not fat), and you could guess that I was conservative based on my haircut and the clothes i wore, etc. so this fucker takes it upon himself to convert me to leftism, which by no one’s surprise, utterly fails.
I had to work with this dumbass for a year in the same department with him bringing up his equality belief every 5 seconds and yammering about being trans. It never stopped. I cannot exaggerate how annoying this guy was.
I ended up leaving that job without any major incident other than that guy’s weird zealot archetype being an annoyance.
