But Chris is hardly a reliable source.Marvin said:Actually, no. Really, enjoying the sex itself was almost all of why he was so happy about it.
Most people's first sexual encounter is awkward and disappointing (good sex takes practice, preferably a lot of practice), so what, really, are the odds Chris, of all people, managed to buck that trend? It doesn't seem very likely to me.
Chris' crowing about how good the sex was really sounded more like "protesting too much" to me. I think it's much more likely he was going on about it to convince the trolls, and also himself, about what a great lover he is (he expressly mentioned how the hooker "loved his duck") to stroke his ego, and also in a desperate bid to convince himself that the great moment he had waited and worked so long for wasn't the mediocrity it actually was. Chris would never admit, even to himself, that his years long fuck quest was ultimately pointless.
If the pleasure from the sex really was as wonderful as he claimed, I really think he would have paid for another hooker by now. But since he hasn't I think it really couldn't have been that good. Chris' actions speak volumes more than his words.
I didn't mean he wanted to be a "manly-man" man or fulfill whatever bizarre concept of masculinity he might have. I mean becoming a man instead of remaining a boy. I probably should have said "adult" instead. I think Chris believed losing his virginity would mature him; make an adult out of him. Not that he actually wants to be an adult. Certainly he doesn't want to fulfill any of the obligations of adulthood, but he does desperately want the trappings of adulthood. He wants the freedom, respect, and all the other things he believes adults get (while still being able to act like a self centered, irresponsible child). And a lot of people bring up the "being a man" stereotype with Chris, but no, Chris has never cared about being a man. That's a big thing with Chris. He never cared about fulfilling manhood stereotypes.
Well if you ever do find out, I'd take it as a kindness of you keep it to yourself "to protect your source". Some details about Chris are way too detailed.I question whether he masturbates much nowadays, but I guess we don't really know either way.
I've always thought the gal-pals were probably more proto-christorians than Chris' version of how they were friends with him.Christ-ian said:I used to think they were probably pretty detached to him as well, but when you consider he ate school lunch with them, cooked together with them in home economics, had them come for his birthday party, cheer him up when he didn't get the awards he wanted and danced with him at prom, I think they actually cared more for him than we'd like to think. I'm not saying they were BFFs, but I think they might have been genuine friends to him, just not to the degree that he likes to imagine.
I said somewhere else that even if Chris really doesn't have schizophrenia, he certainly acts like he does. And it would be better for him if he does have schizophrenia because that means his schizophrenic behavior is not his fault and also that he's treatable. If Chris acts the way he does intentionally, well that's just awful.Smutley said:I think there's some evidence there that he could be schizophrenic, or coupled with his depression possibly schizoaffective.
