Which outcome are you hoping for, or would be happy to see?

Chris somewhere like a group home where he still has internet access. Barb in a retirement home or anywhere safe she doesn't get raped at.

I've held the opinion that the court/judge should register Chris as a sex offender. Let's face facts: Chris was never going to adjust his behavior: His parents failed to make Chris adhere to social norms, making what he does okay. Chris' use of the internet certainly doesn't help. Prosecutors will most likely argue, given his history (they had a look at the CWCki), that Chris is a deviant, and all those past actions (recording himself having sex with blow up dolls, recycling, etc) is what led up to raping Barb. Chris can't be trusted with anyone, unless it's a layer or social worker. Prison is too 'harsh', and Heilberg will argue for a minimum sentence in an asylum. If Chris goes with this, I doubt he'll learn a thing about his experience. Registering as a S.O. would be good for Chris since he'll finally learn about boundaries and good for everyone else because they're protected from people like Chris.

It would probably just get him back in prison ultimately.

SO's have to abide by quite a few rules. I think chris would be walking out of jail into a taxi to head straight to next pony convention. It would require a concentrated effort of training and tard wranglers to eventually get him to change.

This is such unfathomably naive thinking about Chris' concepts of boundaries, the law and consequences that I'm genuinely doubting you've been on the farms for 3 years

For maximum lulz I hope for a full acquittal of Chris, a personal apology from the governor of Virginia and a check for ten million dollars as a small compensation for the indignities he has suffered.

Then at the press conference afterwards, a beaming Isabella is introduced, and she and Chris announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

Sharp eyed Kiwis notice a noticeable baby bump, as the two get in a waiting limo that takes them away to the small mansion that some of Chris’s apology check has been invested in.

I did converse with a legal guy on these forums, and he had suggested that that registration as a sex offender would be the likely outcome for Chris in terms of punishment as opposed to prison or an institution.

It all depends on the charges I reckon.

Well, SO registration is like pretty much a sure thing, whether he can avoid serious jail time is more up in the air. And depends on a lot of shit we don’t know yet.

An institution? Not going to happen. As has been pointed out numerous times, Chris is nowhere near crazy enough to be institutionalized.

Someone may have already said it, but I'm not reading through 11 fucking pages of speculation. I hope that Chris gets committed to a mental institution. We probably would never here from him again, but at this point this is the closest thing to a happy ending he can get. Maybe he can be rehabilitated, but I won't hold my breath.
