Yes, but there are tons of bronies that collect as well and they have not collectively trooned out. As for his free growing vagina, it was influenced by lesbians laughing at him, not from years of dysphoria. To me, Chris' unresolved issues surrounding gender have to do with him not being equipped to understand it and emulate it from an intuitive or instinctive place in his brain.

Chris' misunderstanding of gender was only compounded by Bob badgering him about acting androgynously because of his autism followed by his selective perception of women, which means he marveled at the positives of Barb being able to manipulate her way around everything using charm and feminine wiles.
I think that if Bob had taken away the internet a long time ago and really put his foot down with Chris, that he would not even know or care about being trans.
At the most, I think Chris is a very weak Autogynephiliac, his passive nature, covetousness over a woman's role in society, and fetishization of lactation and pregnancy kind of proves that. Chris is like a lot of other men in that he views women as separated, exploitable parts, and he believes he is so much of an expert on them that he knows how to be one.

I agree, I cannot help but think of Anna when you bring up this point. Chris' SJW friends think that unconditional tolerance and acceptance is the answer with people like Chris, and they could not be more wrong in their judgment.

Chris himself: Chris is his best troll. It's cliche, but it's the truth. A lot of his problems were caused by no one other than himself. However, you have to be aware that Chris is, at the end of the day, a mentally ill person and he won't function as well as a sane person would. He's not able to understand the world he's living in.

Borb: They didn't give Chris the attention and help he needed as a child in order to function decently well and insert himself into society.

Enablers: People who allowed Chris to do or think whatever he wanted out of pity probably had good intentions, but weren't helping him at all doing that

Trolls and weens: While Chris and/or Borb are responsible for most of the antics CWC has been involved into, the trolling did little good to him. Trolling him is, for the most part, making fun of a mentally unstable person who can't ignore the trolls or fight back. There's no way that is good for Chris.

Trolls didn't exactly help, but you gotta remember that like a large majority of Sonichu shit was pre-Internet trolling. If trolls hadn't stepped in as a new bogeyman for Chris, he probably would still be losing it over Mary Lee Walsh or something.

Never trolled chris, never had any desire to troll chris, at the same time part of me feels like following him is itself part of the problem in a broad sense. I do feel a little guilty that I've basically been treating this individual's freaky life like some sort of deranged sitcom

Barb and the trolls are the biggest reasons. Coupled with Barbs/Bobs epic coddling and lack of therapy, would Chris have taken up being a trans-woman-fursona-whatever-the-fuck-he-is if it weren't for the trolls? Chris's Love Quest has almost become a sort of "like" quest, he's become lonely from his almost non-existent social interaction and wants people to like him by doing stupid shit for them (even if it does involve the moneys). I'd imagine he's willing to do almost anything to get people to be his friend. He did take up someones suggestion for him to get closer to his "feminine-side", after all (classic Chris just took it way out of context).

You could say that OPL is a perfect storm of autism and incredibly poor parenting. That would seem to explain most of his issues. But only most of them. There are some things, like the transgender crap, the self-mutilation, the cum-guzzling, the incontinence, et-fucking-cetera, that can't be explained other than by saying that Chris, at some fundamental level, is well and truly fucked in the head and that the head-fuckery goes way, waaaay beyond simple autism.

Oh yeah of course, obviously he has his own gender issues. But the fact troll 'lesbians,' mocked him into trying to cut open a vagina for himself with a knife, shows that we can't rule out that some of the more negative things relating to his trans tendencies could have been troll influenced as well.

When it's confirmed by Marvin that trolls are now malicious enough to get him to self mutilate, I can't see why it would be against the realms of possibility that they could have influenced the likes of his use of ostrogel as well.

The best way to find the answer to this question, really, is just to look at his history. Look back to his actions back at The Game Place, things he did in high school, even some of the stuff he did back in college and at the job he worked.

There is, also, someone missing from that list of possible causes. Not only were Borb responsible for him not seeking treatment, but if I remember correctly, Rocky was also partially responsible - she felt that going to Church was a replacement for therapy, if I recall correctly.
