That's not what your question was though. You asked why Kiwis are 'afraid' of trans, and you got a response. Thinking their reasoning doesn't justify their feelings is entirely beside the point.

One thing that prevails throughout all of KF is this sense of 'here is your outlet for thoughts that would be censored elsewhere' so it's a bit of a catharsis to not fear the banhammer for being politically incorrect. On Reddit, Facebook, etc many have experienced rapid bans at even innocent comments, or of stating objective facts in good faith. KF is a repository for these forbidden, censored, thought crimes.

The bottom line of KF's general consensus on trans is that they are dysfunctional if nothing else. We identify a link between mental illness and gender dysphoria that's not allowed to be mentioned in many circles. Any mention that some of their issues are of their own making gets one labeled a 'transphobe.' The fact that trans have become in the liberal mainstream media, a sacred protected class that is beyond criticism, is why people come to KF.

As others have stated it's not fear but disgust. However, trannies have a common habit of being depraved crazy people online which is great content for the Farms. The reason that tranny shit is so overepresented here is because trannies have much higher rates of trying to justify creepy and eccentric behavior that make them wonderful topics for discussion and derision. Further their online presence exceeds their IRL prescnce which makes a space dedicated to online actvity far more likely to pay attention when yet another 50 year old man in horrific drag screams into a video camera amongst piles of garbage about his "heckin valid trans identity".

I don't really mind trans people. However it's my god given right to make fun of them on this forum. I think the sports arguments are meh, and I agree that weird men in dresses shouldn't be in womens bathrooms but I don't think that's as big of a problem as many people make it out to be. Most of them are probably fine. Trans people have significantly higher rates of mental illness so are significantly more likely to be lolcows.
