I agree completely, but I would also argue that the pendulum swings both ways. I know Barb's dementia is a hotly debated issue, so I don't blame you for disagreeing, but I really think that she never should have been left in the care of Chris.I think to be fair one Chris, he should never of been left in care of Barb.
I know nursing homes are often thought of as places to dump unwanted seniors so they can rot, but, that still sounds hundreds of times better than 14bc. Poor diet, living in filth, sexual abuse, theft, aside from smacking Barb around (as far as we know-) Chris already did many of the things you can accuse a shitty home of doing.
It's my opinion that someone with Barb's mental state (again, don't blame you if you disagree on that) shouldn't be left alone. Even if she can go through the motions of driving to the store or grabbing a meal replacement shake (remember, Barb does not cook) and go to the bathroom and get in bed on her own, we don't know what her worst days look like.Did Barb need a carer? She's back in the house, and I doubt there will be a live in carer. Probably someone doing house visits is sufficing if she has anyone in there.
Also, this is a woman who put a keurig in the bathroom, lived with cat shit smeared on the ground, ate herself into obesity on Sheetz, almost shot her son, ran a man over, etc etc et fucking cetera when she was in her right mind.
Functioning, for Barb, is still hazardous- Moreso now that she might not even remember what dangerous things she's done recently.
