Why do fedora neckbeard atheists believe evolution when it doesn't favor them?

Feelings are evolutionarily superior to facts in regards to understanding reality (and ironically, evolution or genetics itself are the reason for this). Read "Superforecasting" by Philip Tetlock, or "Meditations on Violence" by Sgt. Rory Miller and get back to me.

And no, a naive child or idiot would "believe in evolution", whether it's merely a result of rote teaching and outdated, 19th century indoctrination models, or otherwise. Since if "believing" in evolution like a good little child doesn't in any increase you're actual success at natural selection, then there's no reason to believe in it unless one is just an ineffectual idiot devoid of comprehension or the reality that evolution isn't some who cares if you "believe" in it - and better rewards those who don't "believe" in it than those who do.

In practice, it will still favor Muslims and Mormons over fedora neckbeards no matter how hard or childishly the cling to it like a security blanket of sorts..
 
I'm not against the idea of a superbeing creating the universe...But the laws of evolution could still operate inside that creation. For all our great ignorant
insights, we might be mere bacterial petri-dish projects of some cosmic scientist, who goes home each night (in his timescale) and has dinner with his wife.
The area I tend to find not to my tastes is the primitive "angry father" authority figure. It's a medieval cartoon character for mass consumption by serfs.

But, at the end of the day - I'm just a microbe, trapped on a spinning shitball, so what do I know?

I think the worst part about these "muh science" virtue signalling faggots is that most of them don't really know how science works. They're not scientists. Most of them slept through science classes.
People don't seem to understand how evolution works at all. I've seen some really embarrassing mistakes in pop culture media.

So these "science believers" are basically religious people, with faith in dudes with white lab coats. If some quack says there's a gender spectrum, they believe it without question even though biology doesn't work that way.

Modern civilized humans don't really evolve based on physical characteristics outside of inbreeding and the spread of genetic diseases that don't really significantly impact the human phenotype. Modern evolution, if anything, is based primarily on the passing on of social and behavioral traits that are more useful in evolutionary success, which in our case is economic security.

Fedora neckbeard atheists are, for all intents and purposes, evolutionary dead ends. If they do somehow end up reproducing, it's with other less successful variants of human beings.

Believing superstitiously in evolution or "science" is pretty masochistic when they actually favor "religious" people for survival, natural selection, and reproduction. In fact, if anything, "believing" in evolution is actually inversely proportional to actually succeeding at it, so there's no "evolutionary" reason to believe in evolution.
