I only ever had one interaction with Anna, and it was to politely request via Facebook message that she check in with Chris about Barb's health, because there was some cause for worry and I certainly don't want to see the woman die like that.

She blocked me.

That's kinda dick. She didn't have to do it but she didn't have to be a dick. Just say no and move on.

I guess she is stupid? Otherwise I don't get it. Maybe because she is an asspatter? But there seems to be a lot of asspatters on the forum (when it comes to other members anyways...)

I see you've never talked to Anna. Try it sometimes. She has a massive ego and an inflated sense of self worth. She also has a terrible personality, and seems to revel in her control of Chris.

As for the asspatting, people have an issue with Chris getting asspats because he is clearly unstable. Most people here would be happy if Chris got help, and it's sad to see her encourage him into causing himself further trouble.

I've never had the opportunity to talk to a random person on the internet, no.

I'm really skeptical of the people care about Chris here thing. I doubt anyone gives a fuck about his nudes being leaked on the internet or being tricked into making a sex video or whatever. Hey, maybe i'm wrong or whatever. But I get the feeling that a lot of people here would do something similar if they were able to.

Here everyone is criticizing Anna for manipulating a mentally incompetent man, but no one seems to recognize Chris's mental incompetence anywhere else. Maybe I'm wrong?

The only kind of help I see people want Chris to get is "Well, he should just harden the fuck up!"

One of the problems I have with continuing to encourage Chris's self-destructive behavior is that he could end up hurting others. 10/28 proved that Chris isn't quite the harmless idiot that we all assumed and a sufficiently emotional Chris could end up doing something incredibly stupid that would hurt more people than just himself.

So? It's not her responsibility
She does have a responsibility to not actively make things worse. She doesn't have to be Chris's keeper, but if she chooses to get involved, as she has, she has to consider the consequences of her actions.

So what can Anna or anyone do?

Look at Kim, she posts nice advice sometimes but does Chris follow any of it? Nope.

People here talk big game about "tough luck" and Chris needing to harden the fuck up, but unless Chris was put into a good (emphasis here) intensive treatment program, maybe he might end up almost ok.

And people seem to think that no one should act nice to Chris unless he could be cured of his problems completely.

I'd have to go with Anna here. Sorry but that really sounds like a weird thing to do. It just sounds like a way of being nosy while being "concerned".

I would be really creeped out if a stranger asked me about someone I knew's health without telling me who they were.

If you say so.

She did actually respond, with a "Your letter has been read fully and your thoughts have been inputed"-type canned message, but at some point after that she blocked me. I don't know when she did, because I never intended to bother her or pay attention to her; I only reached out that one time due to the possibility of a life being on the line. But eventually I realized that Anna's comments on Chris' posts that showed up in screencaps didn't appear when I looked on Facebook myself...

Kim does give advice and he doesn't follow it. Cool. That's on him and she didn't hurt him or encourage bad behavior. Chris posts a tirade about Megan and she talks about how she treated him horribly. Ignoring that it is wrong this encourages him to continue his vendetta.

Same. I have a few bogus accounts and multiple ones of them are blocked by Anna. One of them I don't even know how it happened because I've never used it to contact her.

I still don't get why you feel entitled to pester a stranger to find out info about another stranger. Even if Barb was dying (and I assume that Barb was seriously in the hospital, not another "Barb chan has AIDS thing"), I don't really think anyone has to give out info to someone who doesnt' know her. Or maybe it's just me, but I don't know anyone IRL who thinks that sort of behavior (or really any of the stalking over Chris) is normal and acceptable behavior.

Well, she did call him out on his comments towards da homos earlier this year, IIRC?
Before or after her own homophobic remarks?

What did she say that was homophobic herself?

But I think most sort of "outrage" over Chris or anna being bigoted is really just facile and not actually caring about the bigotry part.

"You go Chris! wear a bra like a fucking retard! your so cool!" -Anna

Um, I wasn't asking about Barb's health though? In fact, I specifically stated that I did not expect her to tell me about whatever she found out.
I said:
As you may have gathered, I am someone who follows the events in Chris' life, which I imagine may rub you the wrong way. I wouldn't consider myself a troll - I have never harmed or even been in contact with Chris, and I do not plan on it - but I suppose that depends on your definition of "troll," and that may well differ between us. Even if it does, I ask that you please set aside that difference from now and take my message seriously. I may be an observer of Chris' life, but I absolutely do NOT want to see him or Barb fall to harm, especially if it is something that can be prevented. And I think you could very well help prevent further deterioration of Barb's health. I am certainly NOT asking for you to do this and then relay "juicy info" on what's going on with Chris and is family - I just want the right thing to be done.

Ok I misread.

Still sounds a lot like concern trolling though. And still not really being normal.

Lets face it, Anna wants Chris badly and she knows it, I think their romance is meant to be. :heart-full:

Chris went on about trolls and she called them a "fag". It's in one of the big Facebook drops. While not a part of any charity I actually do take a bit of offense to such bigotry, especially this term. To me it is not only offensive but terribly lazy when it comes to insults. Her scolding Chris for him going off about gay marriage in the news makes it worse.

Now I see how this can be considered hypocritical since I swear quite a bit and probably use the term "retarded" more than I should but this is a personal pet peeve and something I actually do take a bit of offense with.

No idea what the hell "concern trolling" is supposed to mean, but if that's what you call it when one takes action when there may be a life in danger, then sure. I'm a chronic "concern troll." Can't really find it in myself to feel remorse for it though.

Yo,us trolls only got concern for ourselves, the internet is serious business son!
