But I think most sort of "outrage" over Chris or anna being bigoted is really just facile and not actually caring about the bigotry part.

Chris went on about trolls and she called them a "fag". It's in one of the big Facebook drops. While not a part of any charity I actually do take a bit of offense to such bigotry, especially this term. To me it is not only offensive but terribly lazy when it comes to insults. Her scolding Chris for him going off about gay marriage in the news makes it worse.

Now I see how this can be considered hypocritical since I swear quite a bit and probably use the term "retarded" more than I should but this is a personal pet peeve and something I actually do take a bit of offense with.

So? Are you actually queer? I don't think it's totally ok to use the word fag but it's not the worst thing in the world. Seems like you're just finding something to get upset about.

I'm the same way, himawari. Yeah, we may be random people on the internet, but we have emotions too. We can care, be concerned, etc. I can't speak for everyone, but I can imagine the majority of us on this forum want to see Chris and Barb have a better life. And Anna, having that influence on Chris, could help him start a path to a healthy lifestyle better than a random person could.....but instead squanders it and is helping Chris spiral down into what will probably lead to a psychotic breakdown.

i don't hate Anna. I certainly don't begrudge her right to say "you know what? it's not my fucking responsibility to be Chris's surrogate mom and teach him how to be a good person, or correct him when he's wrong." because it's not. She has every right to sit back and watch him go down in flames just like the rest of us do. Shit, she even has the right to asspat him all the way into a jail cell or an early grave if she wants. I'm not even being sarcastic. She does, and i don't care if she does it.

I don't think she hates gays. Don't believe I ever said that. I just think it's insanely hypocritical of her. I could get cliche and quote The Wire about having a code but I don't think that's needed. I just don't think she should berate Chris over hating gay marriage in the news while using the term.

I'd have to go with Anna here. Sorry but that really sounds like a weird thing to do. It just sounds like a way of being nosy while being "concerned".

I would be really creeped out if a stranger asked me about someone I knew's health without telling me who they were.

Um, I wasn't asking about Barb's health though? In fact, I specifically stated that I did not expect her to tell me about whatever she found out.

As you may have gathered, I am someone who follows the events in Chris' life, which I imagine may rub you the wrong way. I wouldn't consider myself a troll - I have never harmed or even been in contact with Chris, and I do not plan on it - but I suppose that depends on your definition of "troll," and that may well differ between us. Even if it does, I ask that you please set aside that difference from now and take my message seriously. I may be an observer of Chris' life, but I absolutely do NOT want to see him or Barb fall to harm, especially if it is something that can be prevented. And I think you could very well help prevent further deterioration of Barb's health. I am certainly NOT asking for you to do this and then relay "juicy info" on what's going on with Chris and is family - I just want the right thing to be done.

Himawari, I think your message was very appropriate. Sometimes it seems odd to get a message from a total stranger, but not bad. Honestly, if she values Chris's friendship as much as she says she does, she probably would have been more open to outside assistance. Or at least, nicer.

I don't hate Anna. She's nice enough in person. Delusional, vapid, vacuous, and a massive attention whore, but otherwise nice. My problem with her is she will side with Chris and believe whatever Aspertistic bullshit he spews forth, even when she is confronted with the truth. Like SheCameForCWC.

But she is incredibly dumb. You know how people have that look in their eyes if they're intelligent? Yeah, that ain't there in Anna's eyes. If brains were gunpowder she and Chris wouldn't have enough between them to blow their noses.
