It’s the one of the first rules listed above almost every thread’s post window. Read through most of the big threads and you’ll see the occasional faggot getting assmad and warned for suggesting fucking with the target of the thread.

If you don’t visit the site enough to see this, fine. But that then begs the question of what you hope to achieve by making a thread where you label yourself as part of the broader community (“we”) and chastise us all for actions you aren’t even sure we commit.

the "we" is because despite not paying attention (as much) to lolcows I believe I'm part of the greater community by keeping track of the latest attacks. I've contributed to the litigation defense fund. If you don't think i deserve that, that's fair and I'll retract that stance.

I would not want that person being around children. I don't think that's a contradiction because being around children is a much higher burden of trust than the average person. Lolicons could be acting pedophiles, but they aren't by definition.

It's the sexual component. There's always a difference between what someone finds interesting or entertaining, and what they find sexually arousing.

I don’t think loli should be illegal, any more than I think any other fiction should be illegal - it doesn't rise to a standard of harm to actual people that should be necessary to make something illegal. However, I feel perfectly comfortable thinking that someone who jacks it to loli is a pedophile; they're just not breaking any actual laws yet, in the same way that an adult memorizing the age of consent everywhere is a creep even if he hasn't broken the law.

You're conflating legal repercussions (currently, there are none) with social repercussions (deserved). We absolutely should shame loli, pedophilia, and other sexual perversion socially, since social lack of acceptance is one of the ways we enforce some sense of appropriate behavior. I think Null had a similar opinion at one point where where lolicon doesn't necessarily equal pedophile. Right up until he started running 9chan, allowed lolicon, if I recall correctly, but didn't allow actual CP, because that shit is illegal. The same exact users with the same exact IP addresses from the lolicon threads would barrage the site with actual CP images because they were mad at him or wanted to fuck with him, or something. He eventually shut down 9chan because of this, but also realized from the direct overlap of people with both lolicon and rl CP saved on their computers, that there is essentially no separation between the two.

We don’t fuck with anyone, regardless of if they "deserve" it or not. If someone is doing something illegal or that can pose direct harm to others, users can contact local authorities about it, but they're expected to do this discretely without posting on the forum about it. Otherwise, "don't interfere" is like the number one rule here.
