I like that you can actually speak here and have an opinion that differs from the masses. Like, there are opinions on here I don't align with but I appreciate seeing because it's a breath of fresh air. Everywhere else is a hug box or censored. It's so restrictive commenting or discussing anything anywhere on the internet, that it's nice to have a place where you can say what you really feel.

I sometimes stumble across forums from before 2014 and they have the same feeling to them. Just people talking shit, making jokes, debating. It feels like everywhere else online, you disagree with a popular viewpoint or don't follow certain politics and you're immediately censored, banned, deleted or villainised. The farms is chill and it's funny laughing at weirdos.

A lot of groups I'm 'in' online are very one brained and despite liking people in them, I find hearing the same opinions parroted incredibly boring and demoralising. I honestly think the internet needs a return to debate, being able to take a joke and opening your mind a little.

Even if you disagree with something, that something should still be allowed to be said. I've been on this site since 2014 (new account rip) and what started as just laughing at lolcows has now become 'oh, I need to see a varied viewpoint on this subject - I'll look at the farms'. The fuck does that say about the state of the internet?

Yeah, despite the Farms' rep people are way better about handling disagreement, and I go against the circlejerks on the farms a bit but it's a way better experience than having done so on more iconic internet websites.

And those fucking liberals say that shit and the second you say anything like that ("...don't mean freedom from consequences. ) back it's doxing and harassment. They're such fucking shits. Of all the people I've voiced contrary opinions to on the internet, socialists/far-left wingers like your average reddit or twitter user are the absolute fucking worst. They're just garbage people. And here on the farms it gets really circlejerky sometimes but the people in here are far and away definitely not socialists and usually not garbage people. The farms just get penalized for being counter-narrative by the movers and shakers of society.

Plus being able to speak one's mind here without being censored to shit like most social media, or have a degree of coherency that you'd never get on 4chan these days while still having the freedom to make edgy jokes.

Because unlike reddit and 4chan I can say all the no no words I want and it's not infested with tranny, jew, and nigger worship/porn. Simple as.

The fact that users here are also way more laid back and more likely to engage in good faith, as well as not take any offense to being swore at or called a slur, is a nice bonus.

And I find it to be, on average, a much funnier place than the other forums I've used with more worthwhile discussions.

Pretty simple really... I post on Kiwi because this is a place where I'm likely to NOT hear hivemind retarded thoughts.

I'm not even just talking about politisperging either. Even when discussing autistic fandom shit like anime or comic books, most of the internet walks in lockstep with certain retarded ideas and mentalities. On Kiwi, I find people who are actually more open-minded and/or knowledgable, or at the very least understand that "a character mentioned it, therefore its been explained and is okay" is not a good defense.
