I'm curious about the "top surgery" statistic is that gender transition surgery exclusively or stuff like masectomys?I'd look up stats but they're unreliable. They like mixing LGBTQBLAHBLAH all together. Still, in my state, "top surgery" independently funded, was approx 10k. Now it's 30k bc it's gov + ins funded. That's just one type of surgery, and a popular one at that for both sexes (cut off boobs/ put on boobs).
It's not restricted to medical either. If you can just convince boys to wear makeup (for ex) you just tapped into an untouched potentially lucrative market. When razors (1920s) hit a ceiling with sales, they took advantage of skimpier styles worn by women, by advertising women shaving. It could've flopped, bc stockings, but no, the risk paid off.
It's so much more than medical; fashion, hygiene, media, etc... and if it goes wrong? Like the "opioid epidemic", there's incentives for gender reversing drugs, clinics, products, etc.
Thats the problem with this statistic crap, groups pad the shit out of it...
