Why does the holocaust get special importance over other genocides

As @Norbert the Tiger suggested, the book The Holocaust Industry has your answer. The TL;DR is that Israel pours millions into building holocaust memorials in major western cities, lobbying for education about the holocaust to be included in the education system as much as possible, funding documentaries and media about the holocaust and so on.

It does this so it can make itself more sympathetic in the eyes of the general public in the west, and add credibility to the narrative that Jews need Israel as a safe place. If that's at the forefront of people's attention then they will be more likely to overlook Israel's mistreatment of the Palestinians, and the fact a genocide of its own (the Nakba) was necessary for the state to come into existence.

It's quite easy harshly condemn the country that started history's deadliest conflict, and the entire world would never hear the end of the stories about the atrocities that country committed. Even the genocides and atrocities that Imperial Japan committed are not talked about as often, but even leftists are more willing to talk about Japanese atrocities than those committed by the Ottoman empire, the Soviet Union, or even earlier examples like the Assyrian empire or the small-scale genocides that the American injuns committed against each other.

You missed the biggest offender, the Mongol Empire. Genocides and mass rape across three continents, and a lot of it just for recreation or to make a point/strike fear. They're the only group of subhumans that can make me feel sympathy for Muslims.

It's funny to me how there are so many chimpouts over confederate statues in the US, yet all across Asia, Europe, and MENA, nobody seems to give a shit about the colossal statue of Genghis Khan in Mongolia (where he's still viewed positively). I'm personally offended that statue exists.

Sure, that was awful and all, but that shit happened over 800 years ago, and Mongolia hasn't had an in anyone's living memory.

Yes, this is part of the reason. You don't need rightwing figureheads to figure this out. Nor does one need be any kind of racist to realize this truth. The other half of the reason is WW2 and it's aftermath is a foundation of the modern global order. That and it's a great story; truth, opinions, propaganda, hearsay, lies and all.

The problem is that now the Holocaust is 80 years old now, and the survivors are rapidly dying out now due to age, which is probably why the amount of people who don't know about the holocaust has risen.

If the Germans were genuinely aiming to kill all the Jews, why were there entire camps full of them for the Allies to liberate? Like, why were they feeding them for all those years, until Allied bombing destroyed the transportation infrastructure at the end?

I don't doubt that they hated Jews and a lot of Schlomos were executed at various stages of the Reich, but it really doesn't seem to me that they were trying to kill them all. Contrast it with how the Jews were plotting to poison entire cities of German civilians, I mean, they really obviously had genocidal plans.

If you cried about the Armenian genocide, the holodomor or the Zulus, how much cash would you make off of it? Zero dollars. That's the difference.
There is a lot of money to be made off the holocaust. Holocaust museums, expensive textbooks about the holocaust that schools HAVE to buy, lawsuits against Poland over imaginary 'stolen' gold, foreign aid from the US, reparations from Germany, and not to mention the mad bank giant international Jewish corporations get to make off of microwages made possible only through open borders.

All of that money is made entirely off the holocaust.

Innate German drive to document everything they do, combined with global wartime propaganda driving socially acceptable hate. Contrast that with other genocides we don't have good records of, and ideologies not universally hated (eg Communism).

A good example is the current claimed genocide in Gaza with good documentation, versus the actual genocide in China of Uyghurs with low levels of documentation.

Fat lot of good endlessly screeching about the Holocaust did them. Antisemitism seems more widespread than at any point since the end of WW2 in the West.

Could have something to do with flooding the nations with retarded savages who hate Jews on an almost primal instinctive level, but that fact would be an inconvenience to the official narrative, so it is ignored.
