Why is this so complicated for you people?

Not necessarily. You could say Reddit is "just a forum", but the way updoots work pretty clearly encourages low effort memes and echo chambers.

I sometimes think about the intention of Discord, which seems like an evolution of the Official [Game] Forums, and how badly they lost the plot. Honestly they should've restricted server creation and moderation to actual companies with employees, because letting any two-bit Jack (She/They) or Jill, She-Wolf of the SS start a private little fiefdom was a huge mistake.

I somewhat disagree. Public servers are an absolute no go.

I like using it with my IRL friends like a group chat, the streaming function is super handy, especially during lock downs to have movie nights.

I try reporting a discord server that allow pedophilic content. But discord refuse to do anything. So i decided that if discord wont do it. i May as well make a post about the people who allow this.

I think this has more to do with the servers you’re hanging out on than Discord itself.

depends on the people, but I'd imagine it's cause it's (mostly) private and shit and people will take advantage of that to the most they can
