As for safety. "You'll get diseases" is the cry of cowards. The danger of prions is in consuming human brains. It's overblown. The risk of prions is less severe than say, the risk of improperly prepared fugu, yet fugu is a delicacy and no one is whinging like a pussy when it's consumed.

What's left? Consent arguements? Consent is nebulous at best as to how to proceed after death and in fact some countries use a presumed consent model when determining organ donation.

I mean, other than some of the other normal reasons listed, I find quality issues to be of concern. Unlike animals, the condition of humans can be so variable. Most animals have a pretty standard diet they eat, whether farmed or wild. Humans can be an omnivore, carnivore or different varieties of plant based. Normally carnivores and omnivores are not preyed on for obvious reasons and I've heard taste worst than non-meat eaters/prey animals. We also have a more intense gestation period and are pretty one and done, not having litters of babies.

Poor stock seems to be more likely with humans. Not well fed, eating processed foods or not getting decent rounded nutrition effecting quality. Things like people using prescription drugs, smoking and drinking affecting meat quality. Also age potentially playing a factor, less collagen and loss of muscle mass. I understand how eating humans is proposed usually as a Soylent Green type product, so maybe none of this matters and human nuggies will take off better than beyond nuggies. I've thought about this a bit, I don't wanna eat people.
