Why is eggnog in the store in August?

Most store-brand eggnog is absolute shit, containing very little egg, and I would argue even less NOG. But seriously though, the cheap stuff is vile, mostly just thickener, corn syrup and artificial flavors. If you're going to get eggnog, get something good like 1836 Farms Dr. Nog eggnog. And I swear, I'm not shilling, it's honestly one of the best. If you insist on globohomo store brand stuff, the Southern Comfort brand is "okay" for what it is.

More importantly: check the ingredients. If it uses sugar, it's good. If it uses high fructose corn syrup, it's not.

Southern Comfort is thin as shit and uses HFCS. If you have access to Kemps Golden Eggnog, get that.

It's incredibly easy to make the shit at home, it's basically just eggs, milk and sugar lol
