Oh yeah don’t get me wrong, my grievances aren’t about the sites or boards themselves. My point for this guy is he’s probably making a bunch of posts in areas where things are most contested and I have problems sometimes with the boards but it’s not like I don’t post there it’s just sometimes people get there jimmies russled on those boards. If he’s getting a lot of heat in those boards he should visit others I.E. the food boards.

Also I will add that for every unpleasant convo I had on a board I’ve had hundreds more that I really enjoy elsewhere. It really is about interacting with the what’s new section or providing a new board no one has thought of yet or has forgotten.

I was being melodramatic, because Josh was being melodramatic. My posts have been well received in many parts of the site, but in the places where a certain degree of conflict is supposed to be encouraged, people are extremely touchy. I just don't see how it's reasonable to expect people to not engage in "infighting" when surrounded by people who are looking for a fight. My Men's Man-Hate thread was tongue-in-cheek, but everybody took it deathly serious. If we can't have light-hearted debate because everybody has a stick up their ass, I don't see why we should have debate boards in the first place.

There comes a point that all in drama on the site turns into banality. I'm not against users fighting amongst themselves from thread to thread but it does become old. The thing that gets me is that people act surprised when everyone loses interest and/or becomes annoyed by their continuous antics. It's a shock to them that some schtick that was funny 399 times is somehow no longer funny the 400th time.
