Why should we care about climate change if it is indeed true?

If anything we should hasten it. Dinosaurs and deserts, bro. Imagine.
the land before time.jpg

We shouldn't. It will vastly increase the amount of habitable land on the globe. There used to be paratropical forests in Siberia and vegetation in Antarctica. Some other benefits to humanity include warmer winters, reducing our resource consumption, more bountiful crops, and drowning everyone living in Los Angeles.

The climate alarmists uniformly say that the most unpleasant weather in every region will get worse as a result of global warming. If you live in the desert, it will get drier. If you live near water, you will drown. If you live near the poles, you will freeze. If you live on a mountain, it will get higher. Everywhere, no matter what, will get worse for human habitation.

It's some kind of weird concept of poetic justice or ironic punishment meted out by an angry Mother Earth Gaia, but peddled as legitimate science.

Stating the obvious but there is a hyper fixation on only air quality when it comes to climate change but toxic dumping in the sea, recycling being bullshit, and mining batteries then tossing them making damage that will be around far longer than c02 in the air makes the whole climate change movement disingenuous.

Yea climate change is real, but actually solving problems isn't anyones intention.

And as people have said, if we suddenly stopped civilization, thats alot of fucking wood were gonna have to burn to keep warm/sanitize shit with warm water. Efficiency sometimes is less polluting.

Plus, feminists keep on telling all women that they need to have abortions every time and all the time because it is peak female empowerment.
That and men and women are opting out of relationships because everyone wants to be independent.
So, taken to the extreme, there will be no children left in the next few generations, right?
So, why do we care about the future of the earth if our society has killed off all the potential people who would live on the earth in the next one-hundred years or so?

Nuclear energy has come a long way, and is actually safer than a lot of options nowadays. The waste isn't even a problem anymore as they've developed a system to store it so deep underground that it doesn't effect the upper crust.
the problem with nuclear is the tailings from mining it
Staying alive in cold weather is significantly more resource-intensive than staying alive in warm weather.
"and heres why its a good thing!"

It's fine.

In all seriousness if you want to stop actual damage to the earth you have to be willing to nuke China and India. I don't mean Hiroshima, I mean wiping those two countries off the face of the planet. Then you would have to start limiting private planes and superyachts. Normal western civilians make up like 1% of the planet's pollution if that. To be serious about climate change is to be a radical violent racist terrorist, not a trust fund baby who throws tomato soup on The Starry Night or glues himself to a tennis court.

As long as China keeps building coal plants, I don't care. Why should I have to live in squalor because of that

As a lolbertarian, I thought leftists were mostly well-meaning but misguided, and all the suffering they caused was an unfortunate consequence of their misunderstanding of human nature.

I now realize that, while this may be true for some normies, the core of leftist ideology is Spiteful Mutants intentionally seeking revenge against normal people whom they resent. It explains why they elevate every dysfunctional lifestyle, worship criminality and degeneracy, and attack healthy behavior.

In the case of things like "climate change", it's not a coincidence that the only solutions are ones that drastically reduce people's standard of living. The suffering is the goal.

The problems with nuclear energy are:
  • It's expensive and time consuming, 5 fold times more than solar and wind for similar output (that's not even considering waste)
  • It's finite, and there's way less energy stored in uranium underground than coal, oil and gas, 20 fold less, if we will run out of fossil fuels in 150 years at current consumption, if uranium were to replace all other sources of power we would run out in 10 to 15 years
  • It's extremely dangerous to a comical Simpsons degree
  • If you were to make it safer you would make it even more expensive, France has 70 year old reactors that should have been scraped 50 years ago
  • It's wasteful and waste storage is an entire fucking mess of its own
  • Thorium, Fast Breeders and Fussion are a meme
  • Small reactors are a meme
  • All nuclear energy is a meme

You're probably too brainswashed by nuclear shills to realise this however.

It's fine.

Quite the opposite from my personal experience and judging human psychology, no idea where are you getting this from.
People love to cry about muh islands of platics and polar bears while not giving a fuck about air quality, bee population count, etc... because it's not visual

Dont get me wrong, there is some absolutetly gnarly shit being put into the air, but there is is a hyper focus on CO2.

The whole thing is complicated and the way i see it you either pick humans or nature. C02 cycles but some other wastes are forever.

>niggers live near equator
>world is hottest near the equator
>nigger's homes are gonna become unlivable and they'll all die
>this is somehow a bad thing that i should care about stopping
