Speaking of Star Wars, the official Wiki, Wookieepedia, has also played host to some exceptional individuals over the years. Granted, Star Wars isn't nearly as stupid a wiki topic as Caillou or "freaky logos," but over the years it's become less of a Wiki and more of a hugbox/echo chamber for the senior admins. Most of them have the sort of haughty "I'm a true fan"/"I liked it before it was cool" demeanor that a lot of big name fans have; they've been known to, among other things, revert edits by regular contributors simply because they didn't conform exactly to what administration wanted, and hold meetings to vote themselves more power (that only admins can attend, of course). They're also extremely opposed to last year's continuity reboot and are only just now voting on whether to make "Canon" pages the default instead of "Legends" ones (to their credit the vote is presently a unanimous "for"). As seen here, some of them actually seem to believe that more casual fans from Theforce.net are plotting to undermine them.
This attitude by the admins is actually having documented negative effects on the Wiki. The power disparity between regular users and admins is so big that many regular users have left the site in frustration; as a result things like featured article nominations have slowed to a crawl. It's even affecting the more junior admins; memorably, for last year's April Fool's prank they put a half-nude picture of one of the various fanservicey alien characters on the main page, and when one of the few female admins objected, she was basically laughed off the site.

I have a fucked up Wikia story that shows just how retarded the site is.
A few years back when it was first starting out, I made a wiki on it. About a week later, some person (I don't know how) got me blocked from editing my own damn wiki.

The King Of The Hill one is the worst I've seen. Basically every character page comments section is filled with the users saying how much they hate that character, except for Peggy's, which is half spergs saying they hate her and half foot fetishists trying to justify a good proportion of the images of Peggy Hill being of her feet because of that one episode.

But, Hank isn't a bad father? His character is written to be a conservative type whose surrounding company constantly require him to reconsider his conservative values; Bobby is an effeminate and non-athletic (possibly on the spectrum) kid and while Hank wants a son that he can throw a football and drink beer with he understands that Bobby isn't that type of person.

My favorite part of this conversation is how the Wiki markup automatically takes that persons leading asterisk and makes a bullet point out of it, and the poster didn't even bother to correct it. Twice.
