Here is a TL;DR of what I'm about to write: "Yes, in various beliefs and including non belief, Chris will experience a negative afterlife."
Assuming Chris died tomorrow:
Abrahamic Viewpoint: Most certainly, Chris has violated many accords and is against God/Yahweh/Allah. He would certainly face Hellfire. If Commedia Divinia is anything to reference with ironic hells, Chris would most likely end up in the circle of Sloth.
Bhuddist/Taoist/Hindu Viewpoint: Most certainly, Chris has violated many accords and is against purity of Self. He would be sentenced to the Cold Hell forced to face the weight of his own Sins.
Nonbelief/Atheist Viewpoint: Neither Heaven nor Hell exists, Chris will die and cease to exist whatsoever. That is a variation of Hell.
Personal belief/Unitarianism: There is a concept known as "Identity/Ego/Self" that blinds and keeps us from returning properly to our Source. Those who "Identity" mean everything to them will experience a second Death upon dying, when they realize that everything that they are, is nothing. Those extremely attached to Identity, [Like Chris] will have a harder time understanding this, and ultimately letting go of the concept. The process is indeed Hellish, and painful beyond comprehension. It is a mental anguish beyond physicality, the shattering of a psyche, like sun hot jagged shards of glass being jammed into every piece of your being. Once the Identity has been faded away into nothing but pure Conscious energy, then it must face the penance of its karma once it has returned to Origin as part of the collective Whole. This is to say, the Conscious Energy that manifests as Chris has accumulated a lot of bad karma, meaning that its next manifestation will most likely be ironic and filled with suffering. Not cellular/microbial, but most likely minor insectoid. After that iteration, it'll be minor aquatic, after that iteration, minor avian, moderate terrestial, major aquatic, major terrestial, human once more with a clean karmic slate. The process will take about 20~30 years before the Conscious Energy that Manifests as Chris is reborn as a minor insectoid, and all together about 500~600 years before returning as a new Human with a clean Karmic Slate. This isn't the worst of sentences, however its far from being sublime.
Now things can obviously change, depending on what Chris does with his remaining life.
In Christian Abrahamics, he must simply accept Jesus Christ as the bearer of his Sin, and believe full heartedily in that sacrifice and be willing to part with his former Self and be reborn under Christ's image in Life to stave off Damnation. In Bhuddism, he must part with his desires and ascend beyond his own human limitations. In Unitarianism, Chris simply needs to change his ways, work against his negative karma sheet, and accept the fact that He doesn't exist, and be okay to part with that, in the eventuality of his Death. He just needs to accept "I'm not the Center of everything, and that's okay." while at the same time, treating everything he co-exists with him as another partition of a Grand Unity he is a part of.
Is there hope for Chris? Always, the same can be said of everything in the Collective Unity.
Is that hope misplaced? Given the trend, possibly, however no one individual outside of the Collective Unity really knows. If it happened tomorrow, it would occur as stated. If it happened in 18 years, 2 months, 17 days, 45 minutes and 22 seconds, while getting up from the loveseat to answer the phone from a weight/poor health related stroke, then it would depend on his life choices up to that point.
