Nobody wants communism, not even the remaining so-called Communist Parties in the world. World leaders today are all doing very well for themselves using the machinery of capitalism to their advantage, and they have no desire to change that.
In fact, the woke phenomenon is the antithesis of communism because it is actively hostile to any attempts to organize based on class. The very idea of the "proletariat" is incompatible with the intersectional war of all against all.
I don't subscribe to the theory that identity politics was an active countermeasure by "THEM" to Occupy Wall Street, but it is a fact that woke politics, where it catches on, tends to suck the oxygen away from old-style Marxism.

My background is in Austrian economics. We are so far away from sensible economic policy that most don't even understand what sensible economic policy even looks like. The current machinations of, for example, the Fed, along with the burgeoning welfare state, and here in Canada, the bloated and failing public health care system, these are all things that Austrian economics understands are ultimately doomed to failure. They are plainly socialist artefacts. The cultural milieux is to grow and nurture these economic aberrations. Even the so-called "right wing" parties cede endless ground here. The fact that business can be "too big to fail"? This is so disinformed that I don't even have words for it. We're a very long way from a healthy free market. Government and big business are so deeply in bed that it's hard to discern where one starts and the other ends any more.

Fair point, the damage can't be undone but here's the thing about the "true believers" in wokeness, they only got as powerful as they did because enough large corporations and wealthy politicians in the right places backed their grift.
