Oh and hello, wizard. *yawn* Just like with the loveshy thread where we got ourselves an incel member, now we have ourselves a right Gandalf straight from the mystical magical land of basement.

Hey, at least I'm seeking a cure for my condition. And even with my lack of success there, even I think people on both sides are, in the most True and Honest sense of the word, insane.
Being a loveshy is a condition now?

I was just thinking, these guy's group name, is an insult to real wizards like Dumbledore, and Gandalf. Makes me sick.

It's because wizards are stereotypical nerds in fantasy stories and they're portrayed as antisocial and really smart.

Presumably it's also that they might not get laid very often for that reason.

I dunno Dumbledore is portrayed similarly to how these cretins actually are in that shitty fanfiction My Immortal.

Holy crap I never even made that connection, I thought these guys just called themselves that to feel cooler.

Let me provide a tl;dr of Raistlin Majere. It's a good explanation as to why these guys call themselves "wizards."

Raistlin Majere was an outcast as a child. His older, muscular brother Caramon was loved by the townspeople whereas Raistlin was shunned. Raistlin met girl and became infatuated with her. Then he found out Caramon had been sleeping with her. I believe he caught them in the act. Fast forward many years, Raistlin finds a way to go back in time, ascend to godhood, and kill the gods of Krynn. He spouts some pompous nonsense that I can't really recall at the moment. A mountain of angst in red or black robes, basically.
.

I imagine the Wizards see the character as a kindred spirit. Or wishfulfillment.

This story is fairly pointless. For starters the first half of it where his brother steals his girlfriend is entirely pointless as it isn't relevant to his "ascend to godhood" or killing gods.

Never mind it's extremely cliche but good taste in stories is not what I expect from people who believe women are just there to destroy their lives.

There's a lot of first world problems in this thread.

True, I don't think Dumbledore slept with any women.

Of course he never did,

He's gay according to what J.K. Rowling said

It's true, he just isn't blatantly gay so he sort of falls under the gaydar. Which, actually kinda makes it realistic by making his homosexuality define him or make it not a big part of him, but rather, just be an aspect with so much more that defines him as a character like being that wise mentor-type character.

wat

She revealed this back in like 2007, it was really big news for a while. I thought everyone knew about it

http://www.the-leaky-cauldron.org/2007/ ... cores-more

She's since elaborated on it on her Pottermore website along with pretty much all the other characters in the lore in some way. Like Professor McGonagal has a very huge backstory now that was only ever mentioned in like a one line bit of exposition in the books.

It's also to justify why he spent much of his life travelling with some guy that he was "really good friends with"

Whatever it is, I am looking for a cure. The others just don't care.

I sure hope this is a troll post. There is no way I would have let that son of a bitch get away with that.
