Well, I see where you're coming from. Women need to be controlled, they're like children. But when you give them power they become something else which is the situation we're in today.
We have retarded white-knights sucking up to poisoned females.

Posts like this are the reason I believe that wizards and loveshies are the same.
Almost the same. At least most of the Loveshies have jobs and hobbies.

This. Loveshy's actually go outside.

So would the Wizards consider the Loveshies to be normalfags, or are they similar enough to be kindred spirits?
Tough one, but given how vocal the Loveshies are about how they want girlfriends, I don't think they'd get along too well.

and they wonder why no girl wants to have anything to do with them.

It's not even a minority thing either, because nobody called this guy out. In fact, the only replies to it were people agreeing with him.

The other thing is the general misconception on their board is that women just have easier lives than men. Which comes from the fact that they cannot understand why a woman would reject them and not want to have sex.

Indeed one thing they seemingly do not understand is for males nothing permanent physically happens when you first have sex. The only thing that might happen mentally is you might get over some deep seeded insecurity planted in your brain by "normalfags". For women it's completely different in physiology.

And while they dislike how women objectify them and wouldn't wanna sleep with a fat guy or a really skinny guy that looks like a grasshopper. They seemingly objectify women as just all hot chicks and "sucubi" who only exist to have sex with them and aren't doing their job.

Hey guys, is it weird that learning about (and even interacting that tiny bit with) Wizardchan has kind of given me an idea for a game?

Because I kind of just suddenly got a huge rush of inspiration for a visual novel, which I mean, visual novels are something I am hoping to get into, and I exchanged information with some visual novel companies while in Japan and some urged me to apply (though tbh the urging from people connected to The Pokemon Company to work for them has been a bit more tempting :P), but I know that NEETdom is a huge problem in Japan as well and I think it would be fantastic if there were a game to try and help them (for those who want to be helped) in a non-condescending way (ie. not "JUST BE YOURSELF" because I know from personal experience that really is NOT helpful)...

Ugh I'm rambling. (And I know that they're still at least passively watching this thread and will surely be laughing at me for this, but honestly I don't care.) And I really need to be focusing on my Capstone game instead of this new and quite demanding pet project.

(Will probably set up the beginnings of a GDD and art bible to tinker with in my spare time though goddammit.)

That's actually a really good idea. I don't know much about visual novels, but I doubt there's many self-help visual novels out there.

Also, you are spot-on about 'Just be yourself'; it's unhelpful and a little insulting. Someone should work on coming up with an alternative.

I've never really put much thought into guy-oriented love sim visual novels before, because there are tons of those; my focus has been more on trying to conceptualize otome games that aren't so "girly" and have a bit more of an action/adventure aspect to them, or at least something different from the otome games that are just all about saying the right things to get Hottie McBishounen to fall into dokis with you.

But if some wizards are so attached to their 2D waifus, what if they found 2D waifus who could inspire them to make their life into what they truly aspire for it to be? That's the sort of game I want to make. I know I've literally had my life changed by some particularly inspiring animu characters. It's an ambitious idea, and it would take a lot of effort and time to truly understand the thought processes of NEETs and wizards - I don't want to offend them by being presumptuous - so it's definitely not anything that would be able to see completion anytime soon. But maybe one of these days.

As for "just be yourself," there's nothing inherently wrong about it, because you should certainly never lie to yourself about who you really are and what makes you happy. But it's just not necessarily a helpful thing to say. I was bullied and ostracized when I was younger because I refused to conform to what my peers wanted me to be, but at the same time I couldn't bear the rejection and alienation that resulted from "being myself," and it literally broke me. I was socially traumatized, I became malnourished, I stopped going to school, and I was just overall really screwed up for a long time afterwards. I've mostly recovered by now, but there are still some lingering social issues that pop up from time to time.

If you want to "be yourself" you need to have the mental and emotional strength to support yourself, and not everyone does (and that's nothing to be ashamed of, either). If you can't do it, don't force yourself, for your own health.

Since we're on the topic I'm going to put my thoughts on this matter. There's nothing wrong with "being yourself", But you must always strive to be yourself in your max potential. A lot of these wizards are wasting their life not even truly being true to themselves. Do you think they are really happy and content with where they are? In reality they hate their lives and possibly themselves even more than the normalfags. They must be themselves but in their minds deep down they truly know that sitting in a dark basement jacking off to their waifu rotting their flesh is truly not being themselves.

That's what has me worried about them. The general message from the board seems to be, "we don't want help, we're happy being depressed and miserable together!" and it's like... if you're depressed and miserable, isn't that the exact opposite of being happy?

Literally, I'm pretty sure I've seen wizards describing Wizardchan (or at least /v9k/) as a haven where they can have company to be depressed together. And it just boggles the mind why they wouldn't want help if they're genuinely upset with where their lives are?

I'm not trying to generalize here, I've seen claims that there are wizards who are perfectly happy with their lives and have accepted their wizarddom, and they aren't on Wizardchan to gripe. That's fine. But that the ones who aren't content with their lives but claim to want to stay that way? That's what I just can't understand.

To me that says it's one of three things. One could be there afraid of looking stupid or afraid of trying something then failing. Another could be they just believe they're a complete failure aNote never be able to make something out of their lives anyway due unbelievably low self-esteem. Or they could be delusional.

At least that's how I see it.

To me, I think wizards should be do the opposite of being themselves: making themselves likable.

That's not even humanly possible.

So he's miserable because he doesn't have a life...but even getting a life wouldn't fix the problem? I can't follow this train of logic.

But if he gets a life he risks getting labelled a "normalfag" and will be shunned by other wizards.

Calling that logic was a disservice to logic. Hell, calling it a train is an insult to trains.

In all fairness, if my family's house ever got trick or treaters, that would probably be my reaction too.

Already had to answer the door for a bunch of teenagers. They didn't even say trick or treat. They just stood there with there bags open looking at me all pissed off. I managed to mutter a "Happy Halloweeen" dropped the candy in their bags, and then said "have a nice night" to which they responded "you too." My heart is still racing.

That line at the end just sends me into hysterics. "Man, I know that feel! Mildly rude teenagers! Livin' life on the edge, yo!" *cancer guy jpeg*

>1st trick or treater
>Dad gets door
>A few mins later he calls me
>"Hey Anon this is our new neighbor! He works on Call of Duty, I know your a huge gamer! Isn't that cool"
>"Y-y-ye-ea Dad."

The problem is he doesn't realize his lack of social skills and overall sense of entitlement prevent him from having friends, so even if friends spontaneously latched onto him he still wouldn't be happy.

I envy this individual to a certain degree. I wish my biggest problem in life was dealing with trick or treaters on Halloween.

My friend actually joined Wizardchan about a year ago and told me that "jailbait" to the community is any girl with modern trend clothing that looks at them with a blank expression.

So I'm guessing they aren't so keen on women's rights.

I was wondering about that.

Because I'm pretty sure that to the rest of the world "jailbait" refers to someone under the age of consent.
