Me, personally, I spend time browsing and posting on boards as catharsis for my depression from not getting laid and my lack of female companionship. If I had a girlfriend who gave me sex every night I'd probably have enough energy and ambition to conquer continents.

I don't see the connection between free will not existing and being a wizard. However, for now we'll focus on your last line. Being a wizard is a choice. it's the choice of wallowing in self pity because it is easier than making simple life improvements.
