Yeah normal people fuck up all the time, but the pigroach is smug, talks down to people constantly, shits on others who make basic mistakes etc. His fuckups wouldn't have as much interest if he wasn't that way to others.

Cool. I guess I've never heard him use it before until today.
I think a lot of us are like this with Phil. I know Tevin will stop and go “wait did he just say that?” and rewind a video multiple times to pick up on something stupid Phil says that can just slip by if you’re not paying full attention. That’s why I’m glad this thread exists.I may have selective hearing sometimes with Phil. He says so much stupid stuff that it can sometimes be hard to pickup on some things,
He's just using the idiom of "getting the boot" and there's plenty of movies that use das boot like Beer Fest to mean the boot even if it's not correct in german. This isn't unique to phil I've heard plenty of people who think they're funny say getting das boot in their worst german accent. This is a weird one. Was watching one of Tevin's Goin Back In Time vids and this randomly caught my ear, from Ask the King episode 37, he's asked a question about moving to Canada that sends him on a rant about Canadian immigration vs American.
He says if you're just Joe Shmo trying to move to Canada you get "the fucking das boot!"
This only caught my attention because Das Boot is one of my favorite movies, and I know it translates to 'The Boat' so did he massively fuck that up or is this a meme I'm not aware of? You get the fucking the boat? Does he not know 'das' mean 'the' on top of thinking 'boot' is English? Seems like a situation where he tried to be witty and reference something cinematic/foreign ahn the fly and fucked up.
He’s definitely the type of guy who unironically says “ATM machine” or “RPG game.”DSP is the master of redundancies.
I love that movie, too! It's definitely a (malapropism?) that's used as mentioned above, but specifically related to Phil, was used in Marvel vs Capcom 2 to describe when Sentinel was flying (+unflying) and attacking the opponent with long-reaching attacks: "hitting 'em with the frying pan and giving 'em DAS BOOT".This is a weird one. I think he stupidly combined “suburb” and “superbly,” which is already a dumb word to use on its own.Fuck that one bugged me when I heard it. I actually rewound Comma's video since I thought I i must have misheard. I'm not even sure what he's going for with that, like maybe he meant supremely hot, but that doesn't work much better.
It’s probably because so many of his paypigs are autistic that he doesn’t want to risk losing one because they took what he said at face value. When Phil corrects his own obvious sarcasm.
"Wow what a great game! Actually no it's a terrible game."
"Wow that was fair ack ack *seal clap* actually no that was bullshit!"
Maybe it's some slight assburgers thing where he doesn't fully understand the purpose of sarcasm.
Collectibles usually bring some sort of a feeling of accomplishment for acquiring them, such as trading cards or trophies in video games. Also they usually have some sentimental value. In this case I could understand how a dsp shirt can be a collectible, but coming from DSP, the dude who bought tons of statues, book sets and Blu rays just because he could and not really being a fan of them, I can't take it seriously.View attachment 1226918
Phil referred to his tee spring shirts as "collectibles".
"Great designs,I can attest to the quality of the stuff because I own a bunch of it and its not worn out over 2 years I own some of this shirts, they look just as good as the day I first got them, allright NOT LYING OF EXAGERATING ,teespring stuff is actually great quality stuff, please give it a look, anything you buy from my teespring, you know, helps me out and you get a cool collectible out of it as well allright?"
Can his shirts be called collectibles? I dont think so.

Apparently back in the day Phil listed his channel as an "Improv comedy" channel rather than a gaming channel according to the 1st screenshot in this post, even though below that he directs you to also watch his other channel for "non-gameplay footage". He also feels the need to explain that his other channel is a YouTube Partner channel HINT HINT if you know what that means HINT HINTofcourse it's not going to fucking wear out when you only leave your couch to buy turkey burgers and cherry juice
heard him say "observational commentary" today, was when someone roasted him for his dora the explorer narrations
Yeah he was using XSplit at least up to the move in June of 2014 I heard that in one of the videos I was researching for my next primer video. I'll find in in the AM and clip it here.
Edit to drop my take on this Theo Theory:
Phil has had at least one PayPal since the early days as heard in his face reveal video (Please click the ads). Then he went ahead and tried to make the DSP network for the 5 channels he had monetized I assume this is when the "Business" PayPal account started.

Once streaming became a thing and DSP finally adopted direct capture is when the "Tips/Donations" happened.
I believe that Phil claimed only the "tips" and "business" PayPal accounts on his Bankruptcy forms.
This account would be the one with the PayPal Debt card that he talked about during the bankruptcy hearing and that would be his original account he attached to YouTube first. I would go as far to say that his behind the scenes whales use this account and Phil doesn't tell anyone about this account.

Next up is the PayPal account he made for the "Business".

He split this account in two one for YouTube money and Twitch bits and subs. The other one is his Dona...I mean Tips page account his cash into the BoA account he has.
In conclusion Phil has a third PayPal account he has a PayPal debt card for that behind the scenes supporters fill for him when he asks, his Mom does it once a month when he calls her, PlanetJeff does it and countless others. I am sure he has slipped up in the past some where and it will be exposed as the liar he has always been.
Does he ever wear his own shit on screen?View attachment 1226918

Yeah and he makes sure to point it out and mention how great quality the shirt is because he has worn them for a couple years and do not fade. Because you know, he just wears it for a few hours a month just to shill them out so of course they won't fade.Does he ever wear his own shit on screen?
