Words & Phrases DSP Has Invented or Misuses - DSP'isms that make you say "HUUUHN?!?"

Coming out of the woodwork

But the superior and elite Cambridge entry says:

The literal wording of the definition according to Cambridge isn't used wrongly but it seems Phil red the definition without context. If you PPG the phrase you see that he always uses this phrase as a positive, not realizing the little detail that it's ment as a negative statement or even a mockery.

So if I get this right then the meaning of what Phil actually says should be:

Oh now you're coming back you cunt!

When he wants to say:
People seem interested to reappear and support. Because for some reason he almost always connects this phrase with sudden support.

His gin soaked brain probably can't tell what's wrong with the way he uses the phrase, because he's never thought about the actual definition before, probably just something he saw on one of his jealous twitter binges from a blue check marked user and uses the phrase to spin whatever he thinks sounds good.

Just looking on pig pig go, he begins to use this phrase suddenly a lot more in 2016 and then it begins to chime in his more normal vocabulary around 2019-2020.

he uses "thus" incorrectly. He seems to think it is a substitute for "this", which it isn't.
Just one of those words he uses to try and sound intelligent. I still remember when he said he had a robust (another favourite of his) vocabulary from reading comic books.

Not really a word that he misuses but I find it fucking hilarious when he starts his tweets with "All". As in, "All, trouble today so I'll be late to streaming..." kinda thing. As if he's got thousands of fans checking his twitter rather than 12 fans and troll accounts.

It needs to be here:

Praeses et Curatores
Universitatis Fairfieldensis
Omnibus has litteras perlecturis salutem in Domino
commendatione professorum
Scholae Negotii Charles J. Dolan
Philip Paul Burnell
pro meritis eius admisimus ad gradum
Baccalaureatus Scientiarum
cui dedimus iura et insignia huic gradui adnexa.
In quorum fidem testimonio sint praesentes litterae, sigillo
Universitatis et Praesidis Decanique autographis munitae.
Datum Fairfield in statu Connecticut
die XXIII mensis Maii anno Domini MMIV
does that diploma say the exact field he majored in?
Scholae Negotii. just by looking at these latin words, i can assume its business related.
im going to assume its a general business degree. i tried to translate the whole thing any way i could and it doesnt seem to make a distinction, like it would if it were business law, administration, finance or accounting.

My Latin is rusty but Scholae Negotii is attached to Charles J. Dolan, meaning that he went to the Charles Dolan Business School at Fairfield University. From what I can see there is zero mention of the exact degree he got in that diploma, only that he has a Bachelor's degree.

So in essence he managed to get the basic degree right? Well that is something but as a comedian stated "Bachelor is like fast food: it makes you fat but not ful"l

Now that I look at it a bit more closely, it might not be Charles J. Dolan, but Charles F. Dolan (which has results for Fairfield University).

It's the only letter that I wasn't sure of being the correct one because of how it's stylized. For this font it looks like a homoglyph of J, and I also compared it with the one above in "Fairfield", they don't look alike enough, but here we are. It's F.

Gotcha. Yeah it's not a major error, I found the business school by just googling "Charles Dolan school of business" which is what Scholae Negotii Charles Dolan would translate to. Still, it's good to do your due diligence. Because of that I'll just say that it's not suspicious that Phil's exact field that he got a BSc in isn't listed on the diploma. What the diploma looks like and what it lists is at the discretion of the university that hands it out. Hell, the fact that it's in Latin is already not standard for the US where from what I understand most universities in the United States give out diplomas in English but since Fairfield is a Jesuit-run university they still use Latin. Not to mention, from what I understand the diploma is just the aesthetically pleasing looking piece of paper that you can frame, you get another piece of paper which I don't know how it's called in the US which is used as actual proof in the eyes of the gov't that you hold that degree. You can finish a degree without ever requesting that your uni prints out the diploma, for example I never requested they print out my Bachelor's diploma, but I still got the piece of paper proving that I finished it because it's mandatory.

While we're on the topic, this is another image I had saved of his ACE certificate (Youtube video). The small text on the right says "Achieving Competitive Excellence | The United Technologies Operating System".

I believe this is before United Technologies and Raytheon Company merged.

Fun Fact: The ACE program was implemented (and probably taught) by Phil's dad. This is the only reason Phil took the course. From what I've seen online, the course teaches the guys in the shop to keep their areas clean and make sure the machines are in good working condition. Why Phil would need to take the course makes no sense. His job was to answer the phone.

Discrepancy.

What does it mean?
an illogical or surprising lack of compatibility or similarity between two or more facts.
"there's a discrepancy between your account and his"

What Phil thinks it means: difference.

E.g. "There was a x% discrepancy between that and second place" (he was chatting shit about polls or something).

"Intelligent Discussion"

Monologuing in a safe space about himself and with himself, banning people who disagree. So the complete opposite of what an intelligent discussion is.

Yes this stream hasn't happened yet but this is the usual process. So this post may change? Who knows!

Edit: apparently an intelligent discussion is a one-sided DRUNK rant about more successful content creators.

Also, 'important'

Something that only pertains to him.

I think the phrase he's looking for is "One Sided Discussion."
because its not necessarily intelligent, its all based on whatever he likes to hear. anything he doesn't like is censored.

It does not but he has always claimed it was in finance. I am torn on whether he was telling the truth here, a finance degree would not have been required or even preferred for his jobs with Best Buy and Helicopter Support but a finance major is just too boring to lie about.

The word you are looking for is "transcript". It will have grades for every class taken, an overall GPA, and the specialty and date of any degree awarded. It also lets an interviewer figure out whether the applicant took forever to graduate or enrolled in easy classes to inflate his GPA. You are also correct that a diploma is just a pretty piece of paper, the only documentation I have ever been asked for from my universities was the transcript itself.

The date on there is interesting too: He got the certification 30 April 2010 or about half a year before he got fired.

I can't prove it but my guess is that Phil's dad knew that firing Phil was being seriously considered by April 2010, so he wanted to either retrain Phil for a job in a different wing of the company where could not do any more damage or tack enough credentials onto him so that he could say "you can't fire Phil, just training his replacement would take so long that it is not worth it". After all it makes no sense to train somebody (even if it is cheap) if he will have little or no chance to use what he learned.

Also forgive my autism but Helicopter Support was sold by United Technologies to Lockheed-Martin in 2015, so after Phil got fired from there but well before the United/Raytheon merger in 2020. I assume that if he took that class today it would have the Lockheed-Martin logo on there instead.

phil seems to use the word mentally ill a lot when referring to his detractors.

the definiton of mentally ill is essentially. any disease of the mind; the psychological state of someone who has emotional or behavioral problems serious enough to require psychiatric intervention

he cant confirm that. a better word would be Obsessed or something.
