Words & Phrases DSP Has Invented or Misuses - DSP'isms that make you say "HUUUHN?!?"

Just today he used the phrase "laying horizontally"

As opposed to what? Laying vertically? That's called standing.
Don't forget, he's outstanding in his field.

I also hate when he uses "on demand".

This is a term used by the big television companies in the early 2000's, and it's dumb. You wanted to watch the newest episode of Everyone Loves Raymond but you were busy playing bingo? With TiVo you can watch your favorite boomer shows "On Demand"!

With today's technology, almost everything is "on demand" so the term is pointless.

tbf, i don't think his use of 'on demand' is pointless because almost everything is on demand
it's because content like his is on demand by default

But how else will he put prestige on sitting on a couch and squinting at video games. 🤔

After all he is Phil Burnell from Burnell Productions - on demand begging services est. 2010 - a totally legit and successful company

Not really a word he misuses just one he uses quite a bit. If you wanted to see the quick reactionary commentary over gameplay Phil likes to champion himself as, look at this chart. Since adopting the live-streaming method and when he started to really start to go overboard with begging he really uses the word "uh" and "um" quite a bit. I realize it's all live but damn, it's way more average than your normal Twitch stream.

DSP has the on-the-fly improv skills of a late-night rushed middle school PowerPoint presentation

He uses this term to flex that he has a proper job. When he was explaining his 'job' to the Bankruptcy Trustee you could tell he was excited to use the term 'on demand video content creator' instead of 'I do YouTube' to make it sound like he has his shit together.

Okay, it took me 2 months to calm my tits over this one because it was just.. omg he's such an embarrassing dullard it's like a meat hammer to the babymaker sometimes.. even when you're used to him. I hammered out half a page of autisms at the time & baleeted it. But;

"HYPERBOLIC CHAMBER."

Hyper. Bhalick. Chamber.

And he didn't even stop there. DSciencePhd. extrapolated on what they are & what they do.

I'd post the pigpig link but if I have to see or hear it again I'll go squirrel nuts again.

To be fair, his “office” (read: playroom) would qualify as a hyperbolic chamber.

Is there a single google doc or website that has all these words in one place? It could be really helpful for people new to DSP to be able to check in one place what he means when he says things like "hardcore gaming season", "alottapeepul", "no load". Phrases that are either meaningless to normal people, or have a totally different meaning when spoken by this fuckwit. Basically a DSP dictionary.

That's kind of hard to do since his words and phrases mean whatever Phil wants them to mean and can retroactively change.

Hardcore gaming season could mean October in one video, sometime in Spring in another, and could be a detractor meme in a third.

Alotta peepul could mean literally a lot of people, like "there were alotta peepul at the mall". It could mean 8 people, as in "alotta peepul voted for this game". It could mean zero people and Phil is lying, "alotta peepul told me they stopped watching my youtube because of troll comments".

I think the one that bothers me the most other than the pig noises is ONLINE PATTERNS. Or, "He only won because he's doing Online Playing", "He's a scrub because he's an Online Player" etc. Fuck, man...like, I know the excuses he makes whenever he loses (or gets hit...) are like a knee jerk automatic reaction for him but come on man
