Words & Phrases DSP Has Invented or Misuses - DSP'isms that make you say "HUUUHN?!?"

I know I’m beating a dead Kat here but something I’ve always noticed about Phil is that he likes to describe what he does improv style jokes and “observational comedy”

According to Wikipedia:
“Observational comedy is a form of humor based on the commonplace aspects of everyday life. It is one of the main types of humor in [stand up]. In an observational comedy act, the comedian "makes an observation about something from the backwaters of life, an everyday phenomenon that is rarely noticed or discussed." The humor is based on the premise of "Have you ever noticed?"”

I noticed this when he did his latest “Woah! Look out! There’s a black woman coming, AH!” Not only does this not work as observational comedy, I’m not even sure what he was going for. His defense was that it was “observational comedy” yet it fails within that category. He said if you took it wrong you are an idiot. But if his joke was “look out this person is about to run into you,” why bring up the race? And then it wouldn’t be a joke because she was about to run into you. Unless you he was specifically saying she was black and that she would do something that no other race would do. Which again doesn’t make sense, unless you were stereotyping her in some way.

Not that I give a shit whatever Phil says in a joking way. I just like to poke holes and dissect his “comedy” any chance I get. Maybe I’m dumb and in two hundred years Phil will be this outsider conceptual anti-humor comedian that will have a cult following.

I guess in Phil’s mind he has to literally observe something, that is ACTUALLY look at something and say “hey look at that isn’t that weird?”

I am positive this has been said before, but it cracks me up how childish his interpretation of a rainy day fund is. I remember children's books explaining it in the way he understands it, and he just never updated his internal lexicon as he supposedly grew and matured.

He is very sheltered and emotionally stunted, it's fascinating. I really wish there weren't external influences telling him how retarded he sounds.

I remember a Donald Duck cartoon my house had when I was a child. Donald's nephews wanted to get money from his rainy day piggy bank so they went outside and sprayed a hose to make it look like it was raining.

Donald fell for it and gave them rainy day money.

You see, it's funny because even children know that that's not what a rainy day fund means.

The crash of Kiwi annihilated my post. Okay then.

In Flight Sim, Phil managed to transform his well known nonsensical addition of a phrase into nonsensical dumb bullshit. It was stupid before, now it really lost all meaning. Phil was in search of apes, which he could have said this way. Instead he said the following:

Ape Styled Creatures

Does this make sense? No it doesn't. The only ape styled creature here is the alien named Phil Burnell.

Or how Josh put it, those are "ape styled creatures":

There are no such thing as male chickens. They're call roosters.

You know what Phil? Female chickens are called hens so you do have male and female chickens you scholar of Latin.

FOOL PROOF

If you think you've invented something that is fulproof , they'll invent a better ful.
Phil is the biggest ful there is.

"If you can become a channel member please do,we need 23 more, like I said once people start becoming members I feel it will kinda COERCE more people to become members"

Coerce: Persuade an unwilling person to do something by using force or threats.

That's ridiculous even for him.

Are you sure he isn't saying "course"? Like "course them into....."

This one is hilarious, and as someone who grew up on farms, raised chickens etc I'd love the ability to just pop up behind him as he said that and scream "wrong" in his face before vanishing again. He's the worst kind of know-it-all there is. 🎩

Just want to publicly state that whoever taught piggytits his new favorite & never correctly-used canned buzzphrase "I would argue", if I find you, I'm going to throttle you.
Yes, it is infuriating that he frequently uses it to preface a point that is not even remotely in dispute or contention. It's at the point where he's basically saying stuff like "I would argue that the sky is blue."

Yes maybe he uses this phrase an itsy bit more often than usual. Since Feb 2021 the spike goes whooooop and climaxed at last August. And September just started and is already at the second highest count of "I would argue".

Your point is quite valid.

I only update the phrase counter with a new post to push this thread, because this is fucking WILD and you have to see to believe it.

Last month Phil peaked "I would argue" with a whooping 73 counter. Today isn't even mid month and he s already at 63! Also a reminder, this number is the number for September 8, not today, PigPigGo hasn't refreshed that yet.

What's going on, ack ack ack? Has he said it multiple times to troll the system? I'm afraid, nope.

Sorry for the stretch of graph, but this is the result on mobile.

The new peak is inevitable approaching, he can't stop himself and Completely overuse this phrase till all ears bleed. Mostly on Hades because he has a lot of thinking work to do.

Oof.

Where has he picked that up? Does he own a phrase calendar? Has he adapted the phrase to look more approachable and thunkful? Khet, have you opened your mouth against all odds? I wouldn't be so flabbergasted if not for this explosion, before that he peaked at 0 to 1 times of usage per month. Per MONTH.

-ALMOST REGULAR UPDATES-

The given dates equal the updating days of PigPigGo. Processing seems to take roughly 2 to 3 days. I'll try to look it up daily, it's easy to do.

More words to share.
I swear Josh runs the show now.

Phil is now misusing the word "racism".

No clue what he's saying here. All I can think of is a snowflake calling everything [buzzword]. Is this racist to nazis? Pilots? M Bisons? The "German race"? What is he even saying? And peepuul aren't just racist, okay, they're incredibly racist. To a military hat. Huh?

My understanding of modern language is that important words lose all meaning. By surprise Phil gave a good example.
