Worst Redesigns

I think it was made to look like a Game and Watch? Still looks like shit though.
It's in the style of the Japanese NES.
And this is just some special anniversary edition not one of the normal colors.
The SP also had such a version:

The book, Mommie Dearest, from the movie Mommie Dearest.

Christina Crawford intended her memoir to be a story of Joan Crawford being an abusive parent. The movie took a campy role and portrayed Joan Crawford (Faye Dunaway) as a crazy, short-tempered lady.

I say "worst" because neither the book nor the movie have anything in common. Both Christina and Paramount exploited the original intent of it.

Wasn't there another movie that goes by a different name than Mommie Dearest that does it better? I haven't watched either of them, I just heard.

I'm not sure.

Feud's casting of Joan Crawford during reshoots of movie scenes.

This has nothing to do with Jessica Lange as an actor or even her PERFORMANCE. She played Joan quite well. Her facial structure doesn't match that of Joan Crawford I noticed. It's the eyes.

Now let's compare it with Susan Sarandon as Bette Davis.

It's more 1:1 than Jessica Lange. They both have good chemistry, it makes you wonder how did they execute two bitter actresses with a petty rivalry.

in the best redesigns thread i praised DMC5 for having a better character design that its sequel, so since i'm a fair man i should also point out how exponentially worse the area design has gotten

in this aspect DMC4 aged like the best of wines, the architecture is nothing short of beautiful and even if the game is 13 years old now it's still aesthetically pleasing most of the times

meanwhile the majority of DMC5 takes place in generic urban areas or unremarkable endless roads of rotten flash

even the dreaded reboot has some scenes where it looks impressive, with all the scenery corrupting as you get closer to it

I actually prefer the change to Calibri from Times New Roman.

TNR is ugly, it's boomer as fuck, and it's too sharp-edged.
Lately since Calibri was the default font, I noticed more typos and spacing issues between words and letters. How you feel about TNR, I feel about Calibri.

KIA has ruined their logo. I don't even know what I'm supposed to be looking at in 2020.

Is it just me or does she come across as a caricature?

And I’m no religious person, but it makes me nostalgic for the Dreamworks animated films about Moses or Joseph (I think those are the right biblical figures). Those were beautifully done compared to...that.
As a rule, Christian animation tends to be like Christian rock: Shitty, low budget, low effort tripe that they're trying to fool soccer moms into buying for little Timmy because it has the right "values".

Little backstory: when Battletech first launched as BattleDroids they licensed a number of extant mecha artwork from various Japanese mecha franchises (Macross, Dougram, etc.). One of the extant repurposed designs was the Destroid Tomahawk from Super Dimension Fortress Macross.
Warhammer.jpg

It became the first Warhammer and is iconic for most Battletech fans.

This eventually led to a notorious rights holding company/copyright troll (Harmony Gold) fucking with FASA via lawsuits, and FASA knuckling under and removing the designs from their franchise. Later, an attempt would be made at redesigning the Warhammer and others to not be in violation of the terms of the HG settlement. One of the redesigns looked like this:

...yyyyyeah.
