Would you date someone that cant have pets?

Probably not just because people with pet allergies are kind of insufferable. It's not just about not being able to have pets it's also about listening to them bitch any time they're around an animal or shit like 'my eyes hurt so much today. It must have been because Jane at work wore that sweater that collects cat hair. Fuck Jane and her cats' or 'no I don't want to go visit so and so you know they have dogs.' I just really wouldn't want to deal with that shit. It seems like it would be annoying. It's been annoying enough when I've been around people like that I haven't been dating.

Yes, but depends on the person.

I don't mind not having pets because I believe it's a great responsability, and if some unfortunate thing happens in regards to your pet's health, you have the responsability to treat it (and some things/procedures can cost a lot), so unless you're in a well financial state and spending thousands for an unforseeable circumstance is not a big deal, it's kind of a risk.

Absolutely. Pets are nice, but they are a lot of work. I love the idea of having cats and birds and lizards and fish, but I can also understand that not everyone has the time/patience/effort to dedicate to such a thing. Sometimes life is busy, and if you don't have time or energy to dedicate to an animal companion, you're better off not having them.

There's also the matter of the short lifespan of most pets. I'm actually not too fond of getting attached to something over the course of 10+ years and one day just having it gone, either run away, dead from illness, or otherwise. I could probably go the rest of my life without a pet simply because I don't want to deal with that kind of grief.

it would depend. i love cats and want to keep them around, so the person i date would have to be something very special for me to not have a kitty.
