You get the perfect candidate who has exactly the same political views as you, and will be able to effectively get things done.

However… that candidate will give presidential speeches while dressed in their fursuit, and will use words like “uwu” on a regular basis. The candidate may or may not be married… but if they are married, their partner is also a furry.

Absolutely. I'd vote for anyone if they'd actually do what I want.

Problem is, I wouldn't trust them to actually do so if they're openly a part of what I want changed, but I'd still take the chance because the available candidates don't even pretend to do what I want.
