When I was in college boomers freaked out because we were fucking too much. Muh hook up culture, etc.

Now I get this incredibly strong incel vibe from whatever the dominant culture is for people born after 1997 or around there. Kind of like evangelical closet cases of last decade, they are obsessed with sex, regulating sexual behavior, and sexual identity as politics...and its largely because they arent getting any or what they are getting is deeply unfulfilling.

I also see alot of behavior (applies to younger tier Millenials as well) that makes me think this demo is proportionally a huge mark for cults. Huge obsession with 'daddy and mommy' noticing, desire for authority and absolute security and certainty in an uncertain world. Would not be surprised if we end up seeing a shit ton of Zoomer cults offing themselves in their fursuits while clutching their waifus and trying to set off bio/chemical attacks against their various culture war enemies.

I literally dont care what gets people off so long as they arent hurting anyone else, but making your sex drive your core personal identifier is so fucking lame. Same goes with people who do the same with political ideology, entertainment products, and the like.

I feel like having hobbies is great, but have multiple ones that don't all relate to each other. And also means you can interact with more people different from you and break the echo chamber effect. Crucial to avoiding ending up like Portobella and Company.

The increasing authoritarian steak from my point of view is from many of the sad fucks who were bullied in school. Like you said its the appeal to authority, something far bigger than themselves to protect them rather than relying upon themselves. I'll concede a subpoint that Boomers brought the materials, but Millenials were used to build the bridge, and Zoomers are the ones being made to decorate it. Boomers might be responsible for making the Millenials and Zoomers do all that, but it's still a choice they made.

This is literally how antifa has expanded in the past four years. You take terminally online people from shitty households, deregulate all their behaviour (sex positive, gender is irrelevant, etc.), eliminate any type of shame from civil society, throw them into an uncertain world the pillars of which are collapsing (e.g. the idea that if you get a degree you can get a good job), make them take out huge loans before their brains are fully developed, and then watch them shrivel in the chaos while shrugging under massive debt.

Of course some of them are going to look for communities that justify their feelings and idiosyncrasies, especially ones that tell them it's the world's fault and they can only work against it if they want to be happy. Ironically, it's also why there are a lot of young people looking for religion (or substituting social beliefs for religion). ILJ and her cronies would be right at home in the TTU antifa chapter if they had taken a slightly different path. Seriously, you could take a picture of her and attach her personal circumstances and it would fit right in with tweets from Andy Ngo about arrested rioters in Portland. Even the fed parents thing would fit.
