WWE Champions General - Despite his claims, DSP is still spending thousands of dollars on the WWE Champions mobile game

You know the email asking one simple question started with a three paragraph pre-steam about Phil's history as on content creator.

And it's nice to see Phil get worked like he works the dent. Hey Phil, if you happen to read this, asking to skip levels would make Scopely less money as they know you will pay for sweaty j-pegs anyway. So yes, they do want to make money Phil. Get worked dent

The funny thing is that there are many examples in this very thread of Scopely giving new jpegs for free to other streamers and youtubers (who specialize in covering Champions), so that they can show off and review the new jpegs to entice all their paypigs and whales to pull for the new jpegs. And all those other streamers and youtubers are much smaller than Pigroach. That could have been him, but instead he chose to obfuscate and lie about his association with Champions for years.

The biggest WWE Champions streamer, Guersan, actually got a job with Scopely. And he was tiny compared to Phil, in terms of audience and especially in money spent.

I have to admit I never would've guessed DPS's request wasn't actually unreasonable, but that makes it even more "interesting" that they refused.

Knowing Phil, he probably just emailed customer service or something who had no idea what he was talking about. He's shown in the past he doesn't know when he's communicating with a bot. Even if he did speak with someone from marketing, I'm not too shocked he was denied. If you glanced at his disorganized mess of a channel, or god forbid, actually watched a few minutes of his video, he doesn't exactly come off as a Champions streamer. I'm not saying it's impossible to get some kind of sponsorship if his channel isn't like, entirely dedicated to Champions, but outside of his subscriber count, DSP's channel doesn't come across looking particularly great. Heck, that subscriber count actually hurts him in some ways if you see it and then expect his recent views to reflect those numbers.

They did change his name for him twice so he must have been able to contact them properly in the past, but constantly calling the game a scam has historically not been a good idea.

I can't imagine that required anything more than contacting some rando customer service person, not anyone who makes any sort of marketing decision.

I know they have the whole "no name changes" policy, but I can't imagine it's actually that strictly enforced and I think it's sometimes used disingenuously to imply Phil has a close relationship with Scopley. Usually with small stuff like that, companies will ultimately work with you if you go out of your way to contact them. We have a very limited view of Phil's spending compared to Scopley. He's by no means the only one pumping an outrageous amount of money into the game. I'd say they care about their paypigs as much as Phil himself cares about his.

I completely forget about all the badmouthing he's done with the game on top of everything else. Granted, I wouldn't expect them to know about that, but on the off chance Phil ever did get some sort of sponsorship, I'm sure people would be tweeting/emailing the relevant clips.

Someone at his level of spending probably gets a VIP handler. At a minimum he gets access to a special support email or something like that but likely has a legit handler just like you get in the Casino I've seen this happen for big time gacha spenders before and his spending puts him in the high tier of whales at this point.

It doesn't even make sense how phil would be marketing the game though if scopely went along with his plan. "Hey viewers, I'm going to show you that if you skip the boring, expensive parts, the game really gets good." Why would the viewers be enticed to play theirselves if the guy trying to push the game doesn't even want to play the right way and needs to be handed the good pulls to keep playing? All phil does is complain how tedious and unfair the game is, why would they want this kind of person marketing their game?

He already hooked Slayer onto this game and according to Aludda Peepol Slayer is advancing through the game way faster than a F2Per is supposed to be able to. Or, more plainly, Slayer's paying some $$$$ to pull some sweaty boiz. I'm quite frankly surprised that Phil still isn't able to get some free pulls from Scopely. Once again he's excellently putting that biznis digri to use.

We are talking about a company who in terms of morals are only slightly above triad organ harvesters.
It's not about morals, but effectiveness. It doesn't take a marketing genius to see that someone who constantly badmouths your game/has a history of lying about it won't make for a great representative. There's a reason more legitimate companies aren't lining up to get sponsorship with Phil, and the few questionable types that have didn't exactly get a huge sales boost from it. Even if Phil was good at getting people hooked, he's still too toxic to really be the face of a company because he's constantly badmouthing everyone else and is just an all around negative dude.

Scopely doesn't actually let them keep those characters. The way it works is Scopely will unlock the character on their account so they can make a video showcasing the new character, and then Scopely takes it back off their account when they're done.

It's actually kind of funny hearing them say pathetic shit like lamenting how 'I'll probably never actually get this character,' because they don't have enough money to spend on the game during their video about it. Like it's such an ingrained thing for players to bitch about not having enough money to throw at the game that it even enters in to community content creators making videos to advertise the new content and is seen as normal.

Good on him, get your fans addicted to the thing that drains your money, then outrage they're tapped out.
