It's been a while, gamers. Welcome back.

40 years have hardly touched all are armed forces; our custom tactical tango tech has kept us in maximum operating conditions. At the time it seemed unnecessary--why keep are troops so young if the fight's finished? Surely we could put all the FUCKED UP events of that year in the past now.

That was before we started picking up tango HAARP rays coming from the ocean.

We're not sure what it means yet, but Deagle Nation International is taking no chances. An advance base has been placed in the ocean off the European shoreline and the calls are going out for any and all veterans that could provide tactical assistance. It may be time to finish the fight one more time.

What about sending in my screwed-up grandson, growing up in the roaring 30s desperate to get away from an alcoholic father who never knew his own dad? He's called Absinthe III.

The team's set up. With the weapon regulation codes and other legal unrealism of the age, a lot of our high-class gear from the last war is no longer available, and that's made a lot of our vets unwilling to join the fight just yet. However, many of the previous soldiers' offspring have volunteered to help shut down whatever the remnant tangos may be trying to do. Press 1 for the soldiers of this generation okay, carrying on the work of their ancestors and shit.

It's almost like back to square one, dudes. Through unbelievable amounts of bullshit it appears that the nerds have to even re-research medikits. The next Bungholio will have to wait a while to appear, I guess :\

As a tactical assistant reads off the extent of tactical arsenal gear we no longer have access to I look over the base. Already we have workers setting up new facilities onto what Deagle Nation International already gave us. It'll be a while before this Fort Tavern becomes the tactical metropolis that the old one was but it's a start.

The final stop on our tactical tour is the Geoscape. Here's where the main change of things can be seen. The world we knew is gone gamers, borders have been changed and all sorts of new regulations put down. But at the heart of it we're still who we are you know, like a union okay, like all united to keep the space muslims and the earth muslims and any other muslim that tries to fuck with us down basically, and that's and/or what I believe. We're still X-com dudes, and if some of those fuckers are still out there we'll stop them again.

Speak of the devil...

On the first day we've got our first down, gamers. So much for a chance that this was all a false alarm... The team will be sent out immediately dude, no fear this time. Let's start this shit off right.

If you let Foulson and Garmfielder die this time I will post those pictures of you touching a furry.

Four decades after the War to End All Future Wars, and we're right back into it again. I guess some politicians are willing to burn more innocent lives to keep their poll numbers up.

Is it okay if I can be sent into the fray as a meat shield, sir?

When the craft arrived the one tango was dead in the crash. Dude this is FUCKED UP--the nerds haven't seen anything like this, even our veteran nerd from the last war. This tango isn't like any of the ones we've faced before...the second they're done with the medikits the nerds will be taking a look at this corpse.

Another tango ship has popped up, and our tactical subs are sent out to stop it.

Damn, the fucker's fast though. It's the start of the war all over again, our ships just aren't going to be fast enough to take on every ship. The veteran nerds know the business okay, they know that the second we get our hands on some tango ship tech they'll need to start working on a better combat craft.

An almost day-long chase and some heavy damage later, our second Deagle-class sub is able to take the thing down. Time to get after it, dudes.

COMBAT REPORT:

Randall Fragg, the first vet from the previous war to sign back on, is basically like "Haaaaaaaa like let's do this dudes!"
Absinthe III's the official squad leader so he's like "Sure dude, let's fuel the fight basically."

Satan gets eyes-on right after getting off the ship. Damn, the Deagle-classes really did a number on it; heh, like, I guess they don't make em like they USED TO, taaaaaaaaa! #VeteranHumor

Absinthe's brother Pernod unloads from the ship and almost gets some FUCKED UP TRIDENT thing through his skull.

He's found this fight's first live tango, dude.

a5c815db01.png

The two trade some fire. The bubbles are flying behind the tactical darts like tracers man, underwater combat's pretty sick!

7e65534666.png

The tango's brought down easy, too. Nice work, Pernod!

Safety Scissors and A-Twig drop off while the others widen the perimeter. Their forebears were both hard motherfuckers; hopefully they'll be the same.

Shit, Satan's down! Mauvboy rushes in with our latest model of the stun rod--

Stryker dammit, he's gone too far :surprised:

51f3af5622.png

By some extreme luck the tango doesn't kill Mauvboy. The bastard's stunned next turn.

c410ba2bbf.png

Two tactical companions come in to cover the space-water bearded corg but there's no need. The all-clear sounds gamers, this ship is ours.

6528170298.png

Two live tangos captured, another one killed, with only one casualty on our side. Not only that but we've recovered more craft arts from the vessel, as well as what looks to be the substance the thing ran on. From the buzz the nerds are making over it, it sounds like this is the tango-fuel of this generation.

519ce39564.png

For his good work fueling the fight, Pernod has been promoted. Heh, like, I don't speak GAY okay, or like whatever language the navy terminology is, so this is gonna count as being a sergeant in my book.

2cca585c2a.png

The sun starts to set on the base gamers, and basically I'm feeling pretty proud. We've made some good first steps today, and our tactical improvement from the last war has started to show a little. If we can keep casualty rates going like this mission, a whole lot more of us may be around to finish the fight this time.
