So what killed Xbox in the end? Was it Xbox One? Shitty games? Phil Spencer?
1:Killing/Selling off/Spinning off studios like crazy
They killed off Twisted Pixel, Lionhead, and Press play. Spun off Bungie. Press Play staff went on to found Ghost Ship which made Deep Rock Galactic. Funnily enough DRG was an idea incubated under Press Play and Microsoft. Microsoft thought it was a good idea to put up the greenlighting of their next project to a public vote. The winner went on to become some awful survival PUBG clone nobody played while the Runner ups became DRG and Trailmakers. As usual Microshit is incapable of discerning good ideas from trend chasing shit
2: Revealing games way too early then cancelling.
They announced Scalebound in like 2015 when Platinum Games worship was at its zenith then cancelled it without providing a good reason why, then Phantom Dust. Yet proceeded on shit like Crackdown 3
3: Set themselves up for failure by not capitalizing on advantages from the 360 gen.
During the 360 gen it was THE place for Indie games with stuff like Summer Of Arcade and Winter Of Arcade. You had stuff like Super Meat Boy, Shadow Complex, and Limbo. Instead of strengthening ties and making a subpublisher that helped indies make unique games they fumbled that shit hard.
4: Complete stupidity during the launch period of XBONE
People seem to always forget. The XBONE in its launch period had objectively better games than the PS4 and they fumbled it horribly through both horrid PR and lack of follow-through. They had Titanfall, Killer Instinct which they retardedly refuse to make a sequel to, D4, and Ryse. PS4 had Knack and........uh Hohokum? Microshaft let EA snatch up Respawn after funding TF1 just like they let EA snatch up Bioware after funding Mass Effect
TL;DR:
