I'm committing myself to breaking the entire site.

XF2 is out and has been out for a very long time, but I've not had the opportunity to upgrade the site because there are custom mods (notably chat) that I feel need to be implemented before I can do the upgrade and I can't work on those mods when I have to do shit for cash. Well now I have cash coming in thanks to the efforts of our benevolent Jewish Merchant's Guild and I can align my sights primarily back to the forum for the first time in 3+ years.

I'm forcing myself to just getting the update done and fixing things as we go. Shit'll be missing but as long as there's basic functionality and we can laugh at tards who gives a fuck.

I am forcing the upgrade February 24th, CWC's Birthday, regardless of readiness.

I'd also prefer if certain lolcow t hreads are high-lighted as some lolcows are much bigger target to make fun of than the others. We can measure this by number of replies/views

I've been ignoring my phone's desperate pleas to update the operating system for years, and i'm still running build 57 of firefox. That's pre-quantum.
All updating anything does is make everything worse and break everything you used to use. This is a universal truth.

I forgot how much work I put into this as it stands. We're already really close to just having something working.

And once "something working" is done, I can do whatever the fuck I want without having to worry about some lingering future upgrade. I've been meaning to add something to downloads and hard archives all [img] tags, something to auto-archive.is all links, something to download hard copies of those archive.is links, something to auto-download youtube videos, the list goes on and on ad infinitum.
