Your first exposure to Chris

Heard some bubblings about the whole phenomenon surrounding him on some youtube videos in 2011. Googled it and regretted it.

I first heard about Chris through his 25th Birthday video. At first, I just thought he was some chubby English kid giving a speech and trying to be fancy.

....then I found the ED page, and the rest is Christory.

Embarrassingly enough, I learned of Chris-Chan while perusing a pony image board, back when I still liked it. Somebody posted an image of Chris, and everyone in the comments was freaking out. I asked who he was and was given a link to the Cwcki. It all snowballed from there.

My friend sent me one of his freak out videos back in 2008, I was hooked ever since.

If I'm entirely honest with you, I found him with judicious use of the 'random' function on ED. I stumbled across his page and fell swiftly down the rabbit hole.

I had heard of him and Sonichu on the Web a bunch of times and had never bothered to look into him, but one day I got bored and looked him up.

ED, 2008-ish. Didn't pay much attention until 2010 when I came across the CWCki and Asperchu, been following our golden boy since then.

I vaguely remember mine but the video I stumbled on while drinking, his little message to the future thing. So sad I thought he was a comedian and saw even more of his work and thought "Wow this kid's serious!"

I... I don't remember really. I just remember seeing the CWCpedia once and wondering why the hell there was an entire Wiki dedicated exclusively to a guy's life. I didn't give it much importance, forgot about it and then I got to read about Chris somewhere I don't remember, and then began to get more and more interested on his antics. Sadly, all of this has been over the las... 2-3 years or so? so I didn't get to see the most interesting moments of trolling when they were happening.

It all started back in 2008 when a coworker of mine and I got into this competition of who could find the saddest article on ED at the time. I thought I was going to win with "Annabelle Lotus", a stillborn child to some juggalos who decided to have a juggalo funeral and then use their dead child to try and get free merch from ICP's record label. Then he sent me the article on Chris Chan. As soon as I saw his photo (it was one of the ones he took to promote the lovequest where he's sitting in a chair with the classic rugby shirt and an especially doofy look in his eyes) and the now infamous intro "Behold the mistake of God..." I was hooked.

I only found out CWC existed when the pepper spray video hit the internets. The rest is history.

I watched a video made by Harry Partridge where Nicholas Cage wants chocolate cake back in 2010. During the last few seconds, Chris and Sonichu appear. I thought Chris was a famous Sonic fanboy and animator like Kirbopher who made the animation. Later in 2014, I discovered Gorgeous George on youtube and found out he had a ED article. In it, there was a joke that he and Chris were brothers. I saw the photo of him stressing out his muscle with no shirt next to George's photo. I thought it was joke photo Chris made. And I was like oh that's the Sonichu guy. I wonder what kinda of humor ED put on his page. I clicked the link to Chris' name and what I found was something I was not expecting...

Encylopedia Dramatica on Lolcows, kind of sporadically showed up in ED. I followed him through dA lolcows when I was a deviantARTist.

I was a Gontermaniac in the 90s, early oughts. Sailor Moon: American Kitsune exposed me to the dark world of fanfiction. Well, one day I stumbled upon Daveykin's entry in TV tropes, and a quote on how he acknowledges he's bad, but not as bad as Chris-chan. I was curiosandohmygodwhathaveIgazedupon?!?

Around 2008-2009 on /v/:someone post the "Autistic dick" set of pics (the one with Chris dancing like an idiot, strip Himself naked and then mass debating, showing His bent duck in plain view)
Then came ED.

I had known Sonichu was a thing by late 2010, and was familiar with some of the more notable moments in the comic itself, but it was not until late 2012-early 2013 that I discovered the CWCki and learned everything about the comic and its maker.

Saw a video about Sonic recolors in 2008 which featured Sonichu, thought it was drawn by a kid. But then I googled it, and boarded a wild ride I still can't escape from.

I found him from the TVTropes page on Sonichu sometime in 2011, between his becoming a tomgirl and Bob's death.
