Your first exposure to Chris

I was watching some random commentator commentate on "ECV 00095" back in early 2011 (somewhere around that time). I didn't really get into him until the Tomgirl Saga.

Oof, my memory is a bit fuzzy about it, but I do recall somehow stumbling across one of his videos on Youtube. Not his original Youtube channel, but the one that archived them, "The CWCville Library" I believe it's called.

I showed him to a couple friends after first discovering him before my interest died down. I rediscovered him a few years later and have been lurking around ever since.

My first exposure to Chris was Sonichu (big surprise there). A dude who reacts to trolls on YouTube named CuteFuzzyWeasel did a reading on one of Chris' Sonichu comics. I didn't know about Chris and all that other stuff about him until recently though.

I originally heard about him through Encyclopedia Dramatica. Further reading on Sonichu from TV Tropes, as well as Linkara mentioning Sonichu once in one of his reviews finally compelled me to do some Googling of Sonichu. This was around 2012ish, iirc.

I kind of stumbled upon Sonichu on ED back in early 2010, and after the Wallflower incident, I tried to warn Chris via email that his approach to women was all wrong. Years later, I would learn that Vivian G, Kacey, etc had tried the same thing before. I actually showed my wife some of the more "interesting" Ivy videos, and she said Chris was too disturbing for her. She didn't have that strong of a reaction to "Eraserhead." Maybe the Ivy saga is a little much to start out with?

Christory became a part of my life sometime around late 2014. I had just discovered ED and found the CWC article. From there it led me to the CWCiki, where I spent weeks reading every article I could find.

It sucks knowing I missed out on Chris' glory years (2007-2010) but he's still providing lulz to this day so I can't complain. Most lolcows don't last this long.

I was on a Homestuck Tumblr blog that made fun of the HS art, and for some reason they posted Chris' Sonichu stuff every once in a while. I thought nothing of it until I actually joined this site. It's really funny to me that I thought Chris-Chan was this stupid Tumblr thing only to find out he has sites dedicated to him, lmao.

Around early 2014 (when his house caught fire) is when I decided to look into Christian Weston Chandler. I had heard of him before on occasion whenever I would browse Encyclopedia Dramatica out of boredom, yet the thought of actually checking out his article strangely never occurred to me until the previously mentioned date.

Wow...I mean just wow!!! It takes a certain type of individual to warrant a wikia made to poke fun at while simultaneously informing the reader why said individual is made fun of on the internet! The way the internet works, you are lucky if people are still talking about you after you've had your 15 minutes of shame let alone half a decade and still counting! I guess what I'm trying to say is Chris-chan is a once in a lifetime type of occurrence. While there are lolcows who bear or even share some similarities with Chris, I don't think anyone can or will ever be able to top the legendary saga that is CWC especially the first two/three years after he was discovered in late 2007!

I was lurking on the Pretty Ugly Little Liar forum, and I saw a thread called "Why wasn't Chris-chan listed as a snowflake?". So I clicked it because I was curious as to who exactly Chris-chan was. There was a link to CWCki in the thread, so I clicked it and that's how I learned about Chris-chan. (Pretty Ugly Little Liar is another forum about snowflakes and lolcows, though it's more based around people involved in fashion-related subcultures, as it started off being about Dakota Rose)

I'd actually heard about "Chris-chan" for a few years. I didn't know much about him, I generally would just overhear others mention him, or frequently see his name on ED, but I never really bothered to check it out. The only thing that I generally knew about him, was that he was apparently infamous, on the internet, for some reason. I honestly figured that he was just some weird guy who made videos or something. Then, I was talking to a friend one night, and they were jokingly comparing someone to "Chris-chan", and so I got curious, and googled him, and stumbled onto the CWCki.

My first exposure to Chris was through Harry Partridge's Nicholas Cage wants cake animation from 2010. What's interesting though is at the time I first saw the video I had no clue who Chris was and didn't really know about Chris until 2012 when things started calming down for him. So I went 2 whole years having been exposed to Chris-Chan without even knowing it.

Reality hits you hard, bro.

Does Harry Partridge still care about CWC? Does he ever post here?

Wouldn't mind knowing myself (given how much he took digs at CWC before, though I suppose interest has died down for him).

Reminded myself it's been about a year and one month since I first came to know Chris myself. For a long time I never really had ever heard of this guy until a podcast I listen to brought him up as an example of what happens to those with autism who go through parental coddling/entitlement. It was quite an interesting listen and my first impression of Chris from that of being quite a terrible person had he not avoided getting the proper treatment he deserved.
