Your Received Medallions

I know. It's pretty sweet that he did that since a piece of paper being added to a package is negligible to shipping costs.

I just noticed something. Sonichu looks more like a Simpsons character than a combination between Sonic and Pikachu. Sonichu looks like a grown up Bart Simpson that got trapped with a cat in one of those machines from "The Fly".
I get that feeling too. I expect Sonichu to spout out lines like being proud of being an underachiever. ;)

I've seen it before, but I'm still loving the Krazy Glue advice.

A closeup of Christine's new signature. The heart sells it.

It's smaller than I expected and kind of flimsy. I put a little pressure on one of the ears and it came partially loose, it's going to require superglue at some point. It makes me wonder if Chris's personal medallion was bulkier, since this one would fall apart if I tried to wear it everywhere like Chris did. The right ear also has what appears to be one of his hairs stuck in it.

No regrets!

I overlooked this detail until I came to the last medallion, but I find it so funny that Chris is so adamant on putting the copyright date for Sonichu on each medallion. When I saw the 3/2000 I thought that he commissioned a lot more work, but I was forgetful of my Christory.

Those of you who bought medallions when they were first made available, where are your medallions now? Sitting in the desk drawer being a novelty for when your 4channer friend comes over? Did you give it away? Do you wear it with pride to job interviews and award ceremonies?

Really doesn't know how to make those copyrights work effectively (Always remember ones for Peanuts or Garfield when United Features Syndicate had them always had simply the copyright of that character's first appearance year and sometimes additional years if necessary, Sanrio does this with Hello Kitty as well).

Very good question!

Here's #165

Oooh... with a Zapbud, very nice!

Is it just your camera or is the CFMM actually that bright? It's like searingly bright neon pink
I don't know why, but Chris ends up using an incredibly bright color for the Rosechu Medallions. We've had another one that was even worse. Like: "burning an afterimage onto the backside of your skull"-worse

If by CFMM you mean the medallion, then no. Somehow my camera made it look like it's some crazy hot pink. I don't know if it's the lighting or what, but the actual medallion (to my surprise) was a lot closer in color to the Rosechu in my avatar.

I did see before that some of the Rosechu medallions were just badly painted pink instead of just being made with pink model magic, and I didn't want one if it was going to be that ugly (I do have limits, after all) so when I commissioned this I made sure to specifically insist that it be made with pink model magic.

So it looks like it paid off.

EDIT: Just realized that CFMM is supposed to be short for Crayola Fucking Model Magic.

I'll turn in my Christorian badge and popgun on my way out.
