YouTube going to all this effort to engineer themselves out of this problem instead of just giving the checkbox as suggested tells me there's other interests at work here besides simply complying with new federal regulations. Not sure what, since all this does is make the userbase more hostile to YouTube and creators get more chatty about heading to the competition, but I'm sure we'll see what stupid schemes Susan's cooking up in the future.The FTC (or was it FCC?) specifically told youtube not to use their rətarded artificial "intelligence" bullshit and just give uploaders a checkbox to mark whether something is suitable for kids or not. Youtube decided to be rətarded anyway, because there was never a situation they encountered that they didn't want to overthink, overcomplicate and utterly fuck up.
