He brings up some good points like the demonitization and adpocalypse problems along with controveries in the past like jake paul and Pewdiepie’s N-word debacle.
But what kind of kills the mood of this video is how at the end, he encourages everyone to mass dislike the Rewind 2017 video until it becomes the most dislike video on the website. (For reference, the most disliked video of all time is Justin Beiber’s baby at over 8 million dislikes. The second place to that is Call of Duty’s infinite warfare which stands at over 3 million.)
This is “supposedly” a message to YouTube that they are done with their BS and tell them that they need to get their shit together and fix the site for everyone. Now I’m not sure how serious he is about all of this, but considering his past elitism, I am lead to believe that he believes that he’s somehow going to save youtube with a bunch of dislikes.
Oh and for added evidence, here’s him praising how the dislikes are climbing on the Rewind video and how he’s on youtube’s ass about some things on his twitter:

Does he really think Youtube cares about shit like people mass disliking a video though? Disliking videos actually helps raise a video's standings more than outright ignoring it because it also counts as engagement iirc.

idk man, if 90% of the comments are people complaining how this rewind was shit or how pewdiepie wasn’t in it or how they don’t recognize any of the people in that video, etc. Who’s to say “disliking” it would help get youtube’s attention more than leaving constant hate comments?

My exact reaction whenever I accidentally click the "Trending" tab on YT.
Is it overly cynical to think these people are the equivalent to a fart in the wind? They'll probably be flavors of the month that are completely forgotten this time next year -- and the ones that manage to stay around are probably artifically pushed by Youtube for having the "Correct" opinions or being "Family Friendly" to the point it makes you want to puke at how fake it is.

Nah, he said that he wasn't invited. It was kind of a lose lose for YouTube because if they had included him it would've been a shitshow from the other side of the aisle. The whole video seems so whitewashed because of their censoring decisions, though. At least if they had invited him (and by extension iDubbbz and his cronies) they'd be able to excuse it as being purely based on relevancy, though I guess the fact that they didn't invite RiceGum last year betrays that they never cared about that in the first place.

I can somehow imagine how a part of a Kiwi Farms Rewind 2017 might look.
- On the Moon Shia LaBeouf has started his new season of HWNDU and guards his flag along with Brianna Wu. In a moment of carelessness the flag is taken by an anon in a frog themed astronaut suit. Wu then trows moon rocks towards the fleeing spaceanon and proclaims victory over GamerGate.
- An alien ship flies by and in spite of seeing the scene the xenos decide not to give up their search for intelligent life in our solar system. The aliens are excited when they suddenly pick a radio signal from Earth, but once they tune in however the signal is Kraut and Tea and Naked Ape having a spergfit over race and IQ. The extraterrestrials declare their mission a failure and turn home.
