TL;DR -- There is a game reviewer named Gmanlives, and he's very much not the kind to agree with politically correct or woke takes... and yet for some reason on Twitter he went all pearl-clutching over Grand Theft Auto. It caught fans off guard because if you've ever watched his videos before he's behaving exactly the opposite of how he has in the past (something people even bring up).

The only way he can salvage this is if he claims he was drunk or his account was hacked. In my gut though a part of me wonders if this is a case of someone who became more of a candy-ass as they got older.

This dude has been a shill for years now. Have you not seen his recent Starfield review? He sold out, period. Even before Starfield I remember him doing other shady shit, like shilling triple A titles as perfect games you need to buy right now without nuanced takes, him skipping out on trying out Duke Nukem Forever leaked build to "not burn any bridges"(didn't stop a fellow FPS creator Civvie 11 from doing so) and shilling that Blood remake a while back that was infamously broken on release. Plus, his takes are just shit, period, he's the worst elements of nu-/v/ and he thinks his twitter memes will appeal to zoomers and substitute for proper analysis and content.

Edit: So all this started because people got upset that a dude was killing civilians in...Grand Theft Auto? Have these morons ever HEARD of GTA before? Serious question, even a bell-end like Jack Thompson knew that this was one of the selling points of the franchise even if he hated it.

This is fuckin' bizarre. One of the most popular things to do in GTA was create chaos and see how long you could survive and the easiest way to do that was to start going ham on the civilians. I first saw this clip and it didn't register because I'm use to seeing people just fuck around in GTA. I've seen some weird takes from gman and ever since he got outed for being apart of that EA program (and if I recall correctly he didn't disclose it before hand) where, now correct me if I am wrong but there was either an access or monetary arrangement between EA and numerous youtubers, I figured that he was bad news. But this take here from him and others is getting more and more fucking retarded the more I sit and think about it.

Cuz his first tweet kinda could make sense--a very forgiving read could see it as him just saying "this could easily be read the wrong way"--but once caught on the spot he starts this whole "killing civilians is wrong!" thing like he's Marvel Comics' version of Optimus Prime. Which, again... I know I've had days where I'm just not thinking straight and I end up making retarded arguments to what could've begun as sensible points, so I was inclined to sympathize...

So recently I'm beginning to rethink whether I still like Krinx TV (aka Mangaminx and his wife Krism).

(Incidentally, you'll have to excuse me if I accidentally call Mangaminx a "she"--I've been a fan since 2017 or so but the reveal of Minx being an MtF trans happened only last year. So basically, its an old habit that dies hard).

I still hold that they're better than Markiplier because they actually play the damn game instead of goofing off or looking for skit opportunities, and most of the time take the game seriously. And the videos get exponentially better whenever its both Minx and Krism (as Krism is usually the more fun/dynamic of the two).

But for years now there's been a lot of red flags.

(I mean, besides the whole "trans" thing).

I swear once a year Minx will make a video talking about how they're "barely making it" and "desperately need your support" because apparently "youtube hasn't been doing so well." At first I believed it, but now I wonder if they're for real. They seem to always keep pushing out videos and able to afford more games to play, in any case, so they can't be doing so badly.

But a thing that's really started bothering me is often Mangaminx will ask for advice from fans... but she'll ignore it. I've even comments disappear from her videos. This is apparently something she was notorious for even in 2015--Minx was egotistical and didn't like being told she was wrong, and being confronted will usually just make Minx lean in harder.

For example, one thing I've seen people criticize is her video titles. They're almost on a roulette at this point: "Best horror ever!" "Worst horror ever!" "It's like Silent Hill!" Or she'll make allusions to lesbians or some other fetish (and I will spare you the part where she types in ALL CAPS).

Someone in a comment confronted her about this and she said "Look, I have to clickbait."

Gee, I wonder why people are ignoring her. It is such a mystery.

One thing I've been wondering for awhile is how they're able to maintain near-daily uploads when almost all their videos are like, hours long. I know sometimes they just upload edited twitch streams, but still I wonder how they (or usually just Minx) are able to play through entire horror games almost daily without a break. Someone suggested she start breaking videos up into parts in order to give herself a buffer, but for some reason Minx has not taken this advice.

Some of the playthrus get stupid long, too. Like sometimes I just look and see the video length is like seven hours (yes, hours) and I'm like "fuck that."

Also, a part of me wishes the trans reveal hadn't happened. Before that I could believe Minx was just a very not-attractive woman (I've seen real women who look just as bad) and her obsession with lesbians just a cute quirk. Now that I know she's trans, it all reads very differently.

............. Sooo yeah, this is less of a "Jump the Shark" moment and more just me having a gradual change of heart, but whatever.

.......... And now I also have a question of "why am I even still watching horror lets play channels, anyway?" I don't like horror anymore outside of maybe Spooky's House of Jump Scares, and the main motivator for watching these guys (that being my not having the hardware to play these games myself) is no longer a factor, so like... I'd say "fuck these people" but they'd probably enjoy that.

About 5 years ago some woman started accusing him of abusing her or something, very #metoo style stuff. He sperged out and then abandoned his channel. I thought nothing of it, this sort of thing happens all the time.

He came back 7 months ago, and he has gone full schitzo mode. Not in the meme way, but in the literal "Oh I hope he sees a doctor, and now I'm depressed" sort of way. Does losing your mind count as jumping the shark?

So, Clive was specifically designed to be the first FF protagonist that no one would make sissy SFM porn of.
