YouTubers you hate that everyone else likes

V-Tubers - All of them just seem so fucking fake and corporate. The "UwU cute virtual anime gril XD" is fucking annoying and heavily forced, and V-Tuber fans are the epitome of coomers. The coomerism is so evident even in clip videos where the title is something like "[V-Tuber] did WHAT on stream?" or that NNN shit. This shit is one of the many reasons why I unironically support gatekeeping.

Horror Youtubers - People like Night Mind, Nexpo, Reignbot, etc. It's reddit-tier horror that's only scary to people who've been sheltered their whole lives. A majority of the topics they cover aren't interesting, and the ones that are interesting are just some milquetoast ARGs made by a Twitter user. Atrocity Guide is an exception, but she's not really horror youtuber.

Music Youtubers - Steve Terreberry, Joe Jenkins, Davie504 - all these faggots who make clickbait vidoes and would rather be doing so than taking their career further by joining bands or writing songs. Steve T. is the one I especially despise. Faggot needs to hide his disgusting soy face behind a paper bag.

Current Day Minceraft Youtubers - Obnoxious. The only ones I like are the ones who do creative shit like Grian and Mumbo Jumbo, and the old guard of MC youtubers like Ethos.

MR. OBVIOUS - Trumptard who has this really smug cadence to his voice. Every time he pulls out the clown world horn, a month gets taken off my lifespan.

RTGame - Used to watch him when he did TF2 and during the early days of his variety content. But ever since he turned on the facecam, his videos just seemed off-putting. He looks like the type of guy who would insert his "hot" take into anything at random. (He may have also spawned the whole "I did something unethical in a game, here's what happened..." genre that I hate)

Alan Becker - I liked his Animator Vs. Animation series back in the day (it's what got me into the medium). But most of his work now is just "Animation Vs. [insert popular brand here]" - mainly Minecraft. While I'm glad his work cut out for him, a little bit of variety would be nice.

xQc - Does he count? He just seems like a complete retard. Like the type of sped who tries to say big words without knowing what they mean to sound smart. His laugh is also like nails on a chalkboard.

GManLives - His voice is just grating.

Proko - He's a good resource for learning anatomy for artists, but some of his lessons contain really cringey jokes that have no place in them whatsoever. He's also pretty boring by himself. I wouldn't be surprised if other people only watch him and the Draftsmen podcast continuously for the guests and Marshall. And let's not forget the infamous kangaroo.

Accidentally hitting the trending tab is a sobering reminder to just who utterly alone I am in this world.

I like some of the stuff in the trending tab, but it really pisses me off when I see something popular that I dislike. How can people like this shit? For example, MTV really needs to stop demanding female entitlement and teen pregnancy.

IHE. he started off pretty good. taking a piss on trends and what normies considered good/fun but then he started to do Reviews of shity movies no one cares about. been a year since i looked at his channel and he still makes the same bad movie reviews.

I used to genuinely like a lot of his videos, but then I started looking through his comments sections and every single time somebody disagrees with him, he reacts with extreme aggression. Call him out on his occasional political screeds and he becomes even more enraged and vitriolic.

It surprises me that people like him and find him so 'insightful' now, because when he fucks up, it's to such a comical degree that you can tell instantly that he has done no research whatsoever and completely believes whatever random drivel he saw on Twitter that morning. The way he brutally, painfully contorts the narrative of Watch_Dogs to fulfill his anti-GG views was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. I'll never watch him again.

It's clear to me that he has an extremely childish view of the world and wants to compartmentalize people into arbitrary 'good' and 'bad' categories. He doesn't want to be a 'bad' person so he desperately seeks to be 'good' in the eyes of society, and he lacks the emotional maturity to consider nuanced viewpoints. You can hear him just click into 'oh my god won't somebody PLEASE think of the children!' mode whenever he starts talking about anything in the real world, especially anything political. Everything has to be delivered with this teary-eyed emotional sincerity that comes across as comically, laughably childish by anyone with any level of sophistication and nuance.

I genuinely think he is one of the better writers in the whole gaming bubble, which isn't saying much considering how many hacks write about video games, but you are absolutely right.

He's incredibly thin-skinned and he does tend to pull a QuintonReviews and go off on unnecessary political diatribes (maybe not to the extent of Chris Davis on his Witcher videos, good fucking god)

It's funny you bring that up, though, because he had a particularly hilarious meltdown on Twitter recently over people mentioning that he repeated a line consecutively on his updated Half-Life Retrospective. He kept going on and on about what a failure and letdown he was because of that, while simultaneously disabling comments. It was hilarious, yet pathetic.

I used to like Dunkey alot and I still somewhat do, but my opinion on him has degraded alot.

As of late, I feel he's been getting really defensive in his videos. If you like X he doesn't and he'll joke about how dumb the people who like X are. But if you hate Y that he likes, then he feels the need to explain why Y is good and you "just don't get it."

This is most noticeable with his TLOU2 stuff where he throws jabs at people who don't like the game and how "in a few years, people will look at you weird for not liking this game." At the same time, it seems like every other video has a Death Stranding jab somewhere. If a game is boring or mediocre, it's a "Strand-type game." I get the game didn't appeal to many people, but Dunkey seems like the kind of guy where if you said you liked Death Stranding in public, he'd put his hand on your shoulder and say "Ohohoho, you poor bastard..."

Then right at the end they both take turns very carefully assuring the viewer there is no way this could ever be used to damage elections or the process of democracy, and that the safeguards are absolute. I subbed to him years back to listen to readings of shitty creepypastas and stayed for his playthroughs of terrible .exe "horror" games. He used to at least do decent commentary. Then he made his shift into covering random news topics days after they were new. These used to be fine as a general coverage of somewhat obscure topics, but nowadays he has to voice his opinion on every part of the topic in the most mundane ways, covers popular topics pretty much every Youtuber covered days earlier, or someone's brought up on here, and he's said some pretty stupid shit repeatedly. On top of it all he's pretty much stopped covering shitty horror related stuff, only sometimes covering anything related. Commentary on boring news topics in general has become a pretty overdone thing on Youtube too, and that certainly doesn't help.

Also, something that's bothered me but I don't actually dislike the guy is the massive drop in quality of Stop Skeletons From Fighting. I used to really enjoy The Happy Video Game Nerd and even some of the stuff into the current rebranding, because he covered shit that just wasn't really getting all that much coverage elsewhere but as soon as Grace became a bigger part of the team, quality dip.

I haven't seen anything definitive. I just figured maybe an apartment with more room was available but it's still weird moving as much as they have. Knowing Grace's type, probably feels the need to constantly change shit around.
