Depends, they only tend to hit shit that has actual progress being made on it and resembles an original game, switch emulators are still up.

Like they shut down Metroid fan projects because it played like a real metroid game, for this they would probably need to have it play like a real zelda game.

I'm honestly hyped for what could potentially come from this. I remember being amazed at the Super Mario 64 EXE only being like 60MB and running silky smooth 60fps (I think It went up to 144fps) with improved textures and whatnot.

My personal holy grail is Banjo Kazooie though, radically upscaled or reworked textures would be fantastic and add a little more modern flavour to it.

How many games have Nintendo actually taken down? The only one I can recall is AM2R but that might have just been really high profile, and I always assumed it had more to do with them remaking Metroid 2 themselves.

In my observation, they tend to only hit fan projects after they make it out the door. As shitty as Nintendo's legal department is in general, they seem to be knowingly letting things get to the point where you can't truly shut them down before they make their sacrifice to the great god of Copyright.

Cool, but, when the fuck is this happening for Star Fox 64? The source code for that and the SNES games leaked too. That happened last year or so and still nothing on that. I try to look up any kind of news or anything, I see a romhack of 1 and 2 on SNES that do a lot of things but no source port and not one of the best Star Fox. I don't want to venture into that weird community and be bombarded with furry shit and how retards want to fuck the blue fox lady because I'm not into that weird shit I just like this really good space shooter game easily the best shooter game I can't think of any other ones I never liked Wing Commander there's those Rogue Squadron games and the one on Gamecube but there's no others that's as good as Star Fox 64 wtf is that ya' know I'm not a fucking furry I don't want to see furry shit and I'm fucking tired of clarifying I'm not a furry just because I love one great space shooter games with animal people it's just like fucking Sanic and those niggers who ruined Sanic I just love the Genesis games man wtf is this?

That wont matter in terms of Japanese copyright laws. It's more to do with how popular it gets in the news and if someone at Nintendo cared. The Super Mario 64 decoiler is still up on github after all.
