They're both Australian, so it's not a surprise. Didn't expect Aaron though, he was a pretty normal guy. He had some spine discs get fucked up when he was young, he was a gamer because he couldn't really do anything else after multiple surgeries. I get the sense he has daddy issues though, and he kind of said "fuck you, dad" in his troon out video.

It's pretty cool to see a semi-mainstream reviewer call out the shitty artstyle and "fuck you" ending.

Speaking of that ending, I never finished Thimbleweed Park. I was pretty far in but got a new computer on a fresh HDD and couldn't be arsed to move my saves over.
Massive fucking bullet dodged. If I had found out the hard way on the spot, I would've been disgusted.

It pretty much confirms that the ending of MI2 was real and everything is a fantasy taking place in a theme park. Can't say I expected anything else when I learned Ron Gilbert is making another game in the series.
I actually quite enjoyed the chapter in which you infiltrate LeChuck's ship in disguise.

At least the Telltale games were unironically a good send off to the series.

Yahtzee covered Saints Row (2022) this week. Oddly very soft review. He praised the gender slider, lightly mocked the total lack of character development, but didn't touch upon the notorious writing or glitches at all. His main point was that it's just a rehash of an old game from 16 years ago. The entire rest of the internet, even woke journos, have been trashing it.

there are other reviwes of "mainly hated" games he did too and has said to not go too hard on it as by the time of writing many videos claiming woke row was shit were out already, praising the gender slider is probably a nod to SR2 since on SR3/4 they removed it not to mention he's a writer himself and ignoring the way that boss is written for female characters is probably something writers do to not lose writercred or something, don't forget that wokerow main writer is a childless 30-year old, while yathz is around 30-year old but has a kid, unlike her.

At least a good half of Zero Punctuation now is garbage artsy games I never hear about elsewhere. I'm not even sure if it's just a symptom of the industry being in its dark ages, or Yahtzee just being a pretentious faggot. He's stuck in that era around 2010 when the term "indie game" was coined, and there was a boom of really good ones.
