Personally, I don't really mind about promoted posts/ads. I've heard many times that if a service (such as Twitter) is free, then
you are the target. Ads/promoted tweets do help offload server costs and it's unlikely that the ads are going to go away as long as they pay Twitter. On the other hand, I can see the other perspective, especially if the promoted content isn't something one would care about.
With the free speech issue, I don't think zoophiles/MAPs are ever going to get completely wiped out on Twitter. However, it's possible some of those accounts are satire/troll accounts.
