I know New Hampshire is the land of living free or dying, but this does not sound legal or possible through legitimate channels to me.

Tess is in Maine, NH doesn't want her. But I yes even in Live free or die there are rules and regulations that wouldn't permit it.

One would think, right? But according to this post, Alicia's husband just took her body to the funeral home where he worked. So, no autopsy. No medical professional to sign off on the death certificate.

The whole thing is totally fucked up.

I'm not familiar with the law where she passed, but (slight PL) I do know Funeral Directors in a few states and this is not uncommon. Even if someone dies at home, unless the family requests an autopsy or there are clear signs of foul play, autopsies are not all that common. Just because someone is taken to a funeral home also does not mean that they are automatically embalmed. Normally they are just put in the chiller until the legal next of kin can be contacted. In some states it a felony for them to embalm without written consent of next of kin. They will actually keep the deceased in the chiller for up to a year before burying it in an unmarked grave if no next of kin can be found. Depending on the area, some places have a rotation of what funeral home is "on call" for picking up deaths where there is no clear directive from the deceased on which one they are to go to because hospitals do not normally have morgues meant to hold many bodies. In this time of COVID where there could be several dying in one day, this is especially true. It could be that Tess had asked that this woman's husband be the one to handle her body after death, in which case it is even less suss that he would have.


Also, there always has to be someone to sign the death certificate. For home deaths, the coroner/medical examiner, is called to the home by the paramedics/police. If the body is removed without the proper authorities being notified it is a felony. Just because it was not mentioned does not mean it did not happen. I doubt that the man would risk his professional license and that of his funeral home over one person, because all would lose their licensees and could face stiff penalties in addition to that. Given that she had an extensive medical history, even if she was faking her symptoms, if she passed at home and no one threw up a red flag when the authorities were called, then there won't be an autopsy. Even in known suicides rarely are they performed. They are expensive and normally only done if there is going to be criminal prosecution or the family throws a royal bitch fit demanding one and involves the media.

If the deceased has no, or very little, money, many jurisdictions will pay for them to receive a simple burial.

Same, here! I don't usually go all in and post a new person in this thread; but, there is something so OFF with this chick. I find it highly unusual that the Lyn takes a nosedive every time mommy's GFM tables out or her TikTok views drop.
There's a new update this morning and mom is claiming that it was a long night...but doesn't credit the fact that the treatment worked (you can hear Lyn chatting and playing in the background...odd that she only puts the cam on her when she's comatose or asleep). Elysia is saying "everyone's stumped" about why she keeps having random different ailments (as in, she presents with one, doctors solve it and something anomalous pops up in a new system). What gets me, as a parent, is that anytime Lynn is "excited" or happily chattering, mom still has "woe is me" face/eyes. When my kids are happy, I'm happy. In every video, Elysia seems almost ambivalent and makes excuses for how Lyn looks better but really everyone is still concerned times 1000.
ETA: Oh lord. Mom may have successfully got Lyn considered for an NG tube. We all know how that usually ends. Her claim is that the Lyn gets dehydrated at home. The kids been in the hospital less than 24 hours and they've already determined she's hydrating fine in the hospital. Only when she goes home does she tank.

While I'm sure we're all super impressed with your "inside knowledge" of these websites, which I'm sure is totally not that you personally paid a small fee to post some lie, you're really fucking wrong. Christ almighty. These sites are run almost exclusively through AI. They scrape data from the web, mainly socials, then have an AI bot "write" the text. Most of the text is just a generic template-- if Tess had paid to post that, do you really think they would say "No cause of death confirmed yet, as no health issues or other causes of death have been learned to be associated with the passing"? Also, note that no pronouns are used in the entirety of the text. These sites exist solely as a place to host advertisements.

Maybe I am tasting the rainbow, but I 100% believe Tess is gone. There are too many people who have no skin in the “fake death” game for it not to be true. Her mother has no reason to play along. And, the former nurse who claims to have witnessed her death is very tight-lipped about the circumstances of departure. If Tess had died by a medical complication, they would have said so. If Tess was lying, her story would have come with a tragic medical description and an immediate obituary. Instead, the woman used the term “very, very peacefully“ about her death, and her other friend made a post to honor her that was basically a “you were struggling and miserable, I’m glad you’ve found a way out.”

In my mind, I think Tess created her own exit strategy, likely using medication she had available to her. Maybe even with help. Certainly, it seems, with witnesses. I don’t blame her for not wanting to die alone, but it does seem a bit awful to invite a former coworker to visit you/transport you/whatever innocent task she lured her in with in in order to bring them together. The woman’s intention was clearly not to witness death and become responsible for a body. The selfish, and somewhat manipulative nature of it all, seems very on-brand.

I’m disappointed, with all of the talk about her being terminally ill, that Magpie ended up in a shelter and that Tess seems to have had no death-care plans in place. For someone who spoke of signing a DNR, and hospice care, she had enough time to make her last wishes known and even to plan them herself so that people were not left scrambling. I’m not surprised that she left on her terms, and sadly, I’m not surprised that she left an abandoned dog and some traumatized people in her wake on her way out. Lesson to munches, if you are going to play dangerous games or fantasize about ending your life, you should have your final resting plans in place.
