The Walten Files - FNaF spin off series with a SJW audience and cast

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
It explains why the writing in TWF is basically a carbon copy of FnaF.
Welp, he always made it obvious that TWF is heavily inspired by FNaF.

Interestingly, TWF wasn't even supposed to be a Fnaf-based VHS horror web-series at first, it was originally a Fnaf fan-game Welcome To Bon's Burgers/Return to Bon's Burgers, which had a free-roam gameplay, but Martin cancelled it due to personal issues, then recycled everything into TWF and its non-canon specials. He even took down all the demos, and the only one that was saved by some nice people is a Halloween demo - Night Of The Living Robot. Download below, if anyone is interested.

That said, I can understand why the author is paranoid about the farms, like @anliteralidiot said. I personally have no interest in fucking with the guy.
Ah, about that. Seems like Martin had never shown any concerns for that openly, or else, my server mole would have told me already. His friends do, but it was months ago. Although they still bring up me and the site sometimes.

Martin left that server some time ago anyway, but he might return.

I completely understand why people don't like TWF. I personally enjoy it because of the visual horror. A lot of the faces really freak me out - they hit me in that specific way. And I am enjoying the mystery behind who Sophie is, etc. Overall I think it's fun and harmless, fanbase aside.
The art style is certainly unique - it feels like a company trying to make a ripoff of Freddy Fazbear's which isn't uncommon (even if @SchoolGirl Alfie's correct about the two restaurant chains not knowing about each other). But I can't enjoy the series thanks to just how obnoxious the fandom and the creator of the series acts in terms of attitude.

I dig creepypastas and ARGs that use grungy, uncanny low budget/low effort art styles so I can give it some points in that regard, but the rest doesn't grab my attention. Just looks like an autistic lovechild of FNaF and Petscop to me otherwise.

I love analog horror, and though the creator and fandom might be crazy, I love it. The art is cool, and the audio is very retro 80s-earlu 2000s. The biggest problem for me are the dates. Supposedly the events that take place are in the early 1970s to the early 1980s. The technology in TWF is nowhere near close to those found at that time. Move everything up about 10-15 years and the problem will be fixed.

It's a slightly older tweet, but Walls has such an ego about being so "original" compared to FNaF when his living is made off of a Bonnie knockoff.

I like TWF, as its own thing. A soft spot for horror series on the internet, I suppose. But Walls is an egotistical ass, and his fanbase is a bunch of brainwashed parasocial influenced kids who flock to it because they can pressure Walls into making all the characters troons. I didn't mind there being canon lesbians, any series having gay or trans characters isn't a problem, it's just a reflection of how people are in society, but Walls very clearly does it for fanservice to please his fans.
I, personally, am waiting for Walls to get cancelled for some problematic shit and watch his Patreon money drop to £0.

BTW, he makes nearly 2.5k a month, feel bad about yourself now.

I don't give a shit about the fandom or whatever, I watched Nexpo's video on it a month or so ago. It was creepy enough, and it's obvious that it's a FNaF clone although I'd argue it does the horror aspect a bit better. I try and avoid fanbases of things I enjoy because it's almost always filled with teenage girls who like to write fanfics about the characters fucking. Same shit happened with creepypasta back in the day.

I do like how Walls photoshops images of people though, just the angle of the head here is uncanny and unnatural.

I wish the fandom wasn't made of children because I want to talk about this series with people. Discord and reddit are for pedophiles.

I think it's interesting from an artistic view, and I like what Walls is doing here. He goes for a more uncomfortable aesthetic, and the "bite of '87" FNAF moment is very plainly known. I usually avoid horror, but there is just something about the series that makes me want to know more.

I feel the same. It feels like anymore that every fandom is just made up of children who care only about dumb things (or immature adults who act like children). I miss having conversations with people about topics we enjoy and could theorize over. While the creator of this series is an ass, I've liked watching the series so far and trying to work out what's going on. I just wish there were other people to talk to about it that didn't just care about dumb fandom memes, ships or whether a character is gay/trans. Really turns me off from trying to get into a community. Letting kids online was a mistake.

Looking at that bingo sheet actually gives me a good amount of info on just how much Walls doesn't understand writing. They're cliches, yes, but can be extremely effective at conveying information to the viewer in a short amount of time if done well. Bonus points if they add their own little flavour to them (example: have a commercial, but add little hints here and there that this isn't a conventional advert made for the public, but rather something else like test subjects or prison inmates).

What exactly is Walls bringing to the FNAF-esque ARG table? There's the artstyle, which as I've mentioned before, despite taking a lot from FNAF is actually really effective, but what else? And furthermore how effective is it at interesting the viewers? Because as far as I can tell the only thing people outside of places like here talk about are the characters. Even the original FNAF had people talking beyond just the characters.

Letting kids online was a mistake.
This statement right here sums up what social media and internet nerd culture has become. Couldn't have put it any better myself.

I feel you - most of the fandoms I was a part of used to have healthy debate and it was fun to connect with people over things from franchises you liked. It was a great way of meeting new people and making friends. But now all they talk about is gender and memes, which bores the fuck out of me.

Finally decided to repost something from the other threads.

After checking that post, check these excerpts from their server rules and try not to laugh your arse off.

My copper tells me that no warnings were given. No attempts to deescalate the situation were made either.
Now that was funny. Always love it when discord autists talk about the farms as if merely uttering its name is a grave sin. If I ever see these two rules in a community I know for a fact they aren't going to follow them if it suits the echo chamber and Walls bootleg FNAF series is no different.

Holy hell, what a bunch of turbo spergs. This shit is why people hate troons. They are so God damn obnoxious in their echo chambers. I like this series, but I stay as far away from any fan content at this point. Now that it's blown up, people just scream about the gay rep instead of the actual interesting bits of the series. It doesn't help the creator encourages this shit and is just as bad. I can't stand twitter and discord faggots anymore. They ruin everything they touch.

Oooohhhh, you haven't yet seen everything that my mole has provided!

Not all of them are troons. Some are "non-binary" or whatever stupid shite those entitled tossers view themselves as.

About troons. Sadie (also know as Bravvyy and whatever else; one of the VA's and Martin's friends) switched from being troon to being genderfluid.

(salem is that "real Jack Walten" fucknut, for anyone wondering)

The scum suckers just switch from one label to the other. Try taking that gender fiesta seriously with those "people". Ah, wait, you can't take that bullshite seriously at all.
