This retard likes Pokémon, Call of Duty, Mega Man, and New Super Mario Bros. But an entire genre of “recycling” is too much for him to handle.
As with anything that doesn't fit into his narrow definition of a good thing, he rustles his own Jimmies flailing to justify his smoothbrain opinions.

I noticed that as well. All he cares about in singleplayer videogames is "progress".

I wrote about it here:

He sees video games as work. Any time he has to redo a segment in a game, he's pushed back away from the credits and therefore he has to "start over again". This is why he gets upset over having to replay a segment in a game where the gameplay is the same from start to finish. And why a game is "archaic" and needs to be "modernized" if it doesn't automatically save a checkpoint every step you take. Imagine an office worker spilling coffee on his document so he has to grab another paper.
Because he blames glitches for poor gameplay so often, actually seeing one gives him a sense of validation. "I told you guys this game sucks!" Imagine your son discovers you putting presents beneath the Christmas tree only for Santa to suddenly burst out of your chimney.
For placing such a high value on immutable progress in games, it is a delicious irony that he places none on his life.

If his life crumbled around him-- he couldn't stream--, he'd be sent back to where he was just after leaving high school: He has no savings and lives "paycheck to paycheck", he has no work history, his house could be sold for more than he paid for it but I doubt he could live long on its proceeds with his spending habits, and his last 'checkpoint' was his college degree and those decay if unused.

Always save early and often...

So I’ve been following Dave on and off since 2014 and I think I have a decent idea of how he ’works’, but there are still a few things that I don't quite get and I hope someone can cast a bit of light on.

What is it with his almost manic focus on make progress in any given game? It’s something that really stood out during his constant whining when he played Returnal, and he mentions it constantly in all other games, ’we made good progress today’.

His obsession with glitches. The way he shouts '’it’s a glitch, look a glitch’' and points at the screen even when it’s just pop in.
He doesn't want to feel like the Phailure he is.
Already begging in advance of night stream

Hoooo Boi

He couldn't live off its proceeds regardless of his spending habits, unless he was somehow teleported to Ukraine or India. He needs to figure out how to make some money, begging ain't gonna work much longer.

Yeah but it'll get 2k impressions. That means something right?

I all seriousness he constantly fails to realise that the metrics that matter are replies, retweets and quote tweets. They're how he'll grow but gives 0 fucks about

Well, ya, but I was thinking of a rational thinking person trying to use the money to live long enough to get re-established. I forgot who I was talking about. DSP wouldn't be able to live on it for more than 6 months or so and even then he'd be too busy crying to do anything productive.

It does make one wonder what the endgame will have in store for Phil once he no longer can make money from streaming once the last whale abandons him.

Well he has no marketable skills and giving shitty handies behind dumpsters isn't really an option either.

So maybe a Perry type situation just a hell of a lot more degrading?

I honestly think he'll end up dying from a heart attack on a stream with 20-25 people watching.

nigel chasing him out of the WWE clans.

planned copyright strikes where he deleted half his videos.

the WoW incident.

chat bullying kat resulting in the halloween rant.

now you may argue "none of those were in real life so they don't count".

they were still direct actions taken against the fat boy that resulted in a meltdown.

i hate this autistic argument about how no one should ever fuck with phil.
Does anyone have videos or links to this exact rant about people bullying Khet? I remember him saying Khet got mad on stream, etc etc, Are there videos of this? I've looked before but by god I don't have the mental fortitude to go digging for Phils rants.

Nice begment to start us off tonight.

'Everything you guys like is eligible tonight!'

Yeah, see, I'm not sure I've ever really seen a huge outpouring of love for your dumb hats and vests, Phil. I think this is one of those things where it's more like you TELL people that they like stuff, but it never quite seems to fit with what people say or how they act.

Well, I guess you could argue that a lot of people have told you they love it behind the scenes.
